Yes. The only game I like from the gamecube is "viewtiful joe". And if I didn't, how would that have anything to do with nintendo's lineup of games?

That's why you put "imo" into your statements.

ROFL, do you seriously think Nintendo is better off money wise than Microsoft? Dude, Microsoft...if they wanted to and if the FCC approved it, could BUY OUT Nintendo. Oh and Nintendo didn't make the GC online to more than 2 games is because they didn't expect online play to be so huge. Personally I don't think Sony anticipated the success to be so big either. Nonetheless, it would be a sad day for gamers if Nintendo exited the console-making arena...but If I had to choose, I'd rather have them just develop games, instead of consoles IMO.

Doesn't matter. Coincedently gamespot posted a news article stating that in 2004 Xbox is STILL losing money for MS. The point is not how huge MS is, it's that the higher ups in the company won't tolerate losing money on a product forever. You think online is huge? You think online brings in revenue? Think again. Say MS is right and there is 1 mil. sub and 15 mil
owners by June. 1/15 is about 7%. I just don't think how you think that is "so huge'.

When I say huge, I mean the future of gaming will be online and possibly online only. MS getting a first-step on Nintendo on that is Huge. Not only does MS now have a starting number of 500, 000 users and say they come back (or say 300K come back) to XBOX 2's online play, coupled with new customers, it will probably give MS an advantage. And yes, I know MS is still 'losing money', but it's only because they created a console that's more powerful than any other and they still sell it cheaper than what they should be charging. In the long run, MS will end up gaining money. (possibly even as soon as XBOX 2)

That's assuming Xbox 2 is online from the beginning.

when you say online from the beginning...do you mean having to purchase a starter kit...like having to wait for a xbox next one to be made...

Nintendo has stated in the past that the day they get out of the hardware business is the day they leave the industry. I don't see them becoming a 3rd party like Sega. The difference between the companies is that Nintendo still makes a bucket load of money every year where Sega was losing money. The GBA alone keeps Nintendo near the top and the Gamecube is neck and neck with the Xbox in sales in the US and is ahead of the Xbox worldwide.
