Well if the reports are true about the magazine that is supposed to feature their new game next month, they probably would have to announce their new game soon. However, that report could prove to be false and we are just going to have to wait a little bit longer on what they might be making. Hopefully we hear something soon, but at least they provided some clarification on why they weren't at E3.

Superman is just boring to me. Flying around, slamming into building and stuff that's basically all he's got. I'd rather see Wonder Woman than Superman.... at least she has a lasso.


With that said there's just so much more that I would rather see from Rocksteady than a standalone Superman game. Maybe a Suicide Squad and/or a Justice League game would be cool but I don't think either would be as awesome as Arkham. Maybe a Justice League game to introduce then in Rock Steady's video game world with a future Flashpoint Paradox game in mind would be fun and something a little outside of the box.

Like Fresh said, a TMNT would be awesome or personally I'd love to see a Wolverine game by Rocksteady. A Daredevil game would be fun too. I'm just more of a Batman/Daredevil superhero fan. Superheroes who are basically human with training and gadgets and such over these almost unstoppable forces like Superman.

I personally would love to see a Green Arrow game. His gaining more and more popularity due to the show and the new comics coming out. The game would be more Batman like, which would be cool.

Batman never really felt vulnerable to the point of defeat in any of these games to me. Hell, most games don't have a protagonist that feels anything less than superhuman and many tread into the God-like territory.

The only thing holding a Superman game back is the quality of character development and narrative. I think RockSteady could do it, but I do have reservations since they had a mess of a story throughout.

I already played through this a couple times before but I never fully beat it by getting all of the riddles and locking up the Riddler and initiating the Knightfall Protocol in full.

So over the past month and a half I made it my mission to do just that but beating everything first (all of the side missions and the riddles) before I completed the last part of the Scarecrow storyline. I got that storyline to about 94% and still had about 90 riddles to go yesterday and I just started to knock all of them out. By the end of the day, I finally got the last riddle trophy and beat the Riddler to lock him up and have 100% on everything but the main storyline. So then I completed that and then finally got to initiate the full Knightfall protocol with the full ending and, man, was that satisfying.

I think it was more satisfying that I beat it in order and didn't have to do anything once I completed the main storyline and could just end the game the way it was supposed to end. To me, the Arkham storyline Rocksteady created was phenomenal and one that many video games will have to live up to. Spider-Man comes close to this but I don't think any game will ever beat my love for the Batman Arkham games.

Now its time to play the New Story Mode + and do it all again. Apparently, you get a new suit if you beat New Story Mode + as well.

I started the opening of New Game + last night but decided to stop and play something else. I think I am going to wait a couple weeks and start back up again so that I don't remember everything fully. I am going to be determined to beat it though. I am glad we get to keep all the upgrades and also glad you don't have to find all the Riddler Trophies again. I think that will make it a little bit easier. I am going to be determined to get that last suit. Also - in January they are releasing the Earth-2 suit that wasn't available to everyone.

I didnt want to create a new thread until the new game is officially announced (with the Title) but it looks like the new Batman game from WB Montreal is coming out this Fall, which seems overly optimistic since we haven't even seen any part of the game.

It says it will be a soft reboot and tie in to the Court of Owls storyline and will offer a playable Bat-Family. It also says it will be part of a DC Game universe, so that will be interesting to see. Im assuming they will probably announce the game at E3 but it could be sooner since the report says its supposed to come out this Fall.

The fall is incredible crowded so if that's true it could back fire. I'm sure they want to get it out before the ps5 and the rocksteady game... but still

Also, if anybody wants it they just made a new suit available.

When the game came out, it was only available to people that attended E3 and got a code.

I have enjoyed the Arkham series, I haven't played Origins. But I wouldn't mind a different approach if done right.
I could see a Fall 2020 release. I do agree that is a crowded fall slate. I can see it being a cross-gen release. But if it is a fall release, I would imagine they would to reveal it soon. I know Batman has the brand to sell well regardless. But, I don't see them waiting until E3 to reveal then turn around release game in 3-5 months

So many rumors and for so long with out any real news that i am not believing anything in till WB says something. If it is a like soft reboot thing hopefully the combat is basically the same has the combat in the akrham games is flat out amazing.

Personally, I think a Wonder Woman game would be more fun.

Anyway, Origins is a fantastic game that doesn't get enough credit for having the best narrative of the series. It is a little rough around the edges, but without knowing their dev cycle/time compared to the main games I can't fault them too much.
