Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
I've played for about 3 hours so far. Only 3% done with the story. Half of my time was spent on side missions, beating up thugs and cruising in the Batmobile.
Speaking of which, driving the Batmobile is just as awesome as I'd always imagined it to be. It feels so badass to be patrolling the streets of Gotham in it and having criminals running away when they see it racing down the street. It's a great addition and really freshens things up, as well as making the game that much more of an authentic Batman recreation.
The game itself is buttery smooth from what I've played so far. Unsurprisingly this is a farcry from Arkham Origins, which always seemed to have some kind of hiccup, freeze or framerate drop. The combat and gliding feel better than ever because of this. So far it seems like the delays paid off.
One thing I'd really, really love for them to add is a photo mode similar to Shadow of Mordor and The Last of Us. While it's nice to be able to use the PS4 captures, it'd be so much better to be able to go in and manipulate shots just the way you want them and add filters or whatnot.
That's all I can think of right now in terms of impressions. From what I can tell, this is going to be one hell of a game. Hopefully the story holds up and gives a satisfying ending.
Here's some captures I've taken so far:

Also, I wanted to see if anything would happen if I landed on top of a car. Let's just say I wasn't disappointed.

With all the PC issues I'm seeing I'll hold off for now or just pickup an Xbox One copy down the road. The game is getting killed on Steam reviews.
Good thing there's Steam refunds for anyone running into issues.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Anybody else having this Installing Game Data issue or am I tripping?
SpoilerTried to go after Riddler after dropping Ivy off at the GCPD only to never be able to get past the wall at the end of my waypoint because of it saying Installing Game Data. After finishing the AR training after getting the new Batsuit, I couldn't pick any of those training icons because it popped up with the same message when I scrolled over one. Finally worst of all, just had the Installing Game Data screen pop up after confronting Scarecrow in Ace Chemicals. Right when I turned to take that last container of Neturalizing agent this screen pops up. Has me at 95% with estimated 28 seconds remaining but that bar or time NEVER moves.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
ok random question, kind of related.
I've always been a console gamer, however I'm slowly transitioning into the PC gaming world as well, and have slowly overtime been upgrading.
Yesterday I upgraded my final piece, upgraded my i3 to an Intel i5 4690.
While Arkham Night was pre-loading i was playing WWE 2k15 perfectly fine, playing Universe mode and some exhibition matches. After Arkham Night completed, i turned off the PC and installed the new processor.
My CPU recognizes it, everything is fine, I'm having a lot of fun w/ Arkham Night. However, I can no longer play WWE. I tried to boot it up and the John Cena splash screen loaded, and then it straight crashes to the desktop with an error everytime. I did not download or install ANY new files, only the chip. Before I verify the integrity of the cache on Steam, any suggestions on what it might be? I tried at least 10 times to boot it up.
I'm hesitant to verify the integrity of the cache, because last time I did that for NBA 2K15, it downloaded a lot of files, which overwrote all the mods I had installed. For WWE, I have a lot of mods for characters, rings, etc.Last edited by franch1se; 06-23-2015, 11:48 AM.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Riddle me this, guys... Do any of these mission packs (Scarecrow, Red Hood, Harley Quinn) integrate with the story early or can I go ahead and start playing without them and download them tonight. This patch is going to take a solid 90-120 minutes for me to download. And it looks like all three dlc are another gig each.Last edited by CC; 06-23-2015, 12:39 PM.Comment
