Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
I guess I'm the only one who enjoyed the Bruce Wayne episodes of The Animated Series?

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
I don't get why people think it's a bad idea. It's actually a nice idea. You would probably have to push the Bruce Wayne part a little more. But living as Bruce in his mansion would be awesome. It would be like Lara Coft in her mansion. Which I always thought was pretty awesome.Last edited by jeebs9; 07-08-2015, 09:45 AM.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Theres no reason why the Batman games can't progress past one night to save the entire city format. Theres a lot which could be done. The day/night cycle is GREAT idea. I would love to see narrative decision choices playing out ala Mass Effect where the world around Bruce/Batman is a dynamic one.
In the comics we've seen the Bat family go through its trial and tribulations and split etc, there's so much which could be done with this character MORE THAN fighting 2 dozen villains in ONE night.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Having the game take place over multiple nights would be fine, but having a cycle where I'm going on dates or sitting through business meetings sounds awful.
The last thing I want to see being hyped up about the next Batman game is the all new date night feature.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
I'm not sure why playing as Bruce Wayne suddenly extrapolated to dates and managing a company. I guess nobody is interested in a fully fleshed out character narrative or being able to do day-time detective work and character progression outside of the Batsuit.

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Prototype games are still the best movement in a video game for me (expected the second Infamous to challenge this, but it didn't).
I put Batman up there with Just Cause though, both very good and empowering, with the edge to Batman.Comment

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Ok I have played half way thru the game and I just cant do it anymore. I know a lot of you guys love this game, but its just not fun for me. I am not going to say it is a bad game but for me the other two from Rocksteady were much better than this. I even like Origins better and I really did not like that game much either.
This does not feel like a Batman game to me. It feels like a mini tank game with some Batman elements kind of pasted on top. I have always been a big Batman fan and in my opinion they have just gotten too far away from the core of what Batman is.
I am glad some of you guys are enjoying it. But its going on the shelf for me, I will probably finish it some day, since I made the mistake of buying it digitally but that is a mistake I will not make with this franchise or developer again. In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight
Not to be that "guy" who expects the game to 100% mimic comic book continuity, but when did Batman ever have a tank??? Was there ever a story where this type of vehicle was prominent.
I like the idea of creating some brand new continuity until the point when I don't. I understand that it would maybe not be ideal to have a game mimic a story that was told in a comic book, but its also not ideal to outmatch Batman to the point where he spends much of his time in a bat-tank...when its at least apparent here that a collective group of people never wanted Batman to be a tank operator.
Just for the record (for diehardyankees) I enjoyed my time in the batmobile/tank.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment
