I'll probably only get this one if it's next-gen only. I love the series, but if I got one every year I'd almost certainly get burned out on it. I think it's probably time for them to move forward with the series and introduce some new mechanics.

Not worried about graphis myself here. Black Flag was a beautiful game and that one came out on the 360 firstComment

 Re: Assasins Creed Unity

This series won't make the true leap to next gen for me until they fix some of the base animations that have looked quite terrible for several iterations now. The rest of ACIV looked beautiful until you started climbing and running around. I get why Black Flag still had the same animations as it was basically an upgraded version of the PS3 game, but for Unity, I'm really hoping they rehaul basically all of the animations.Comment

 Re: Assasins Creed Unity

As awesome as Black Flag was...the game did feel so rushed. I mean, watch the first E3 demo of the game way back when. When Edward sits down at different hiding spots he starts talking, doing different things. In the game, that isn't how he really behaves at all.

And a lot of his animations are rehashes from Connor. I mean when you attack the giant ax wielding mooks, he even does that unique looking Connor jumping tomahawk attack that gets easily countered.

Game needs an overhaul. But with the one game a year thing they've been doing, they aren't really getting the time to fine tune anything past a certain point.Comment

 Re: Assasins Creed Unity

They're actually getting plenty of time to change things, they just aren't doing it for whatever reason. Assassin's Creed 3 was been worked on for 3 or 4 years and Black Flag had a couple of years of work. The team doing this one is claiming that they've been working on it for 3 years so hopefully they have made some significant changes cause as much as I love the series, doing the same old stuff over and over again has gotten old. If I put this game in and have to tail a single person, I'm ejecting the disc and throwing it out the window. As awesome as Black Flag was...the game did feel so rushed. If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

 Re: Assasins Creed Unity

Tailing someone in a Spy/Assassin game is like shooting in a FPS. It will be in there and rightfully should granted maybe done in a better way then going to this bench or throwing money at hookers for them to stand around you 2 feet from the guy. Hell even GTA has you do it at least once in their games.

What I look for to be changed is the animations to be redone. Granted its not as bad as the Infamous series when it comes to climbing/Parcour/Free Running but it still can be better than the stiff ones they have.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

There are much more interesting ways to do that than what they did in Black Flag. And citing GTA doesn't really make that any better since those are always the worst parts of those games.Tailing someone in a Spy/Assassin game is like shooting in a FPS. Re: Assasins Creed Unity

Glad I'm not the only person that loathe the Tail This Person missions in AC. Hell, I hate tailing people in ANY game. Because it's one the most tedious things you can do. Slowly advance as the game leads you along like a dog on a leash. Don't get to close, don't get to far or you gotta do it again.

Only thing more boring, fun killing thing you can do in a game would be some kinda interactive stakeout mission. Or those hacking mini-games from Mass Effect 1 and 2.Comment

 Re: Assasins Creed Unity

I already disliked the tailing but it didn't seem to be as prevalent in past games as it is in Black Flag. Almost every main story mission involves tailing and the two where you have to follow people in the Jackdaw in a narrow corridor almost made me just quit the game and sell it. I don't know how anyone could have played those sections and thought that they were well-designed.Glad I'm not the only person that loathe the Tail This Person missions in AC. There is nothing redeeming in tail missions in these games. I would lose no sleep if those antiquated missions were eliminated completely from gaming. Who has fun tailing NPCs?Comment

 Re: Assasins Creed Unity

I think this deserves a bump after an impressive E3 showing. There were atleast hundreds of people on the screen at once and it looks like it will definetly look like a next gen game.
Does anyone know about any improvements in the gameplay? I know there is co-op but are there any changes in the fighting, animations, or what kind of missions the game will be centered around, for example, black flag had a lot of naval combat.i tried not touching anything when i was younger and ended up pissing all over myself.Comment
