The map is also up to scale with real life paris, well the size of paris back then. I wonder if they were able to recreate most of it or if it just up to scale and nothing else.

The tailing missions are completely changed, which is the best news out of E3.

Mission structure has also changed. Or, to put it more directly: missions no longer have a set structure. In previous games, you’d be given a defined set of goals. You’d achieve them, or you’d start over – either at the beginning of the mission or at an appropriate checkpoint. Assassin’s Creed Unity introduces something called Adaptive Mission Mechanic (AMM) – which is exactly what it sounds like.

To explain AMM, Amancio lays out a typical scenario from previous games. Let’s say you’re tailing a Templar target; if you get spotted, the mission might be over. That’s no longer the case. “We’ve opted for a different philosophy where we won’t tell you Tail this guy,” Amancio says. “We’ll just maybe tell you Figure out where he’s going.” That means you can tail him if you like – and if you get spotted, the tail could turn into a chase. If you lose him altogether, your goal switches to locating your target. If a riot happens to break out and your target is killed, then you can loot his body to, say, find a letter that tells you where he’s going. “So it’s really up to the player to figure out how he’s going to do this,” Amancio says.

Of course, there’s much more to AMM than this. It’ll never be as simple as choosing the easiest path (i.e., killing every target and looting their bodies) because that could have serious repercussions in the world. “If a guy is missing, maybe they’re going to double up patrols in your next mission. So there’s a risk. It evens itself out.”

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

That sounds awesome, and is something I've always wanted in video games. I love the idea that you can't really fail a mission (aside from dying), it just takes a different path depending on what happens.

                  Re: Assasins Creed Unity

The co-op should add some interesting strategies. Like 3 players take the loud approach from 3 different sides to force the target to run to the only open space left, but the fourth player will be waiting for him and get a clean kill.
We can also finally kill more than 2 enemies at once with the help of friends.

I hope they allow people to choose "co-op" difficult when you will need atleast two people to succeed and need teamwork. And ofcourse let players just play the mission with the normal difficulty. But why they need a higher difficulty (which would just be more guards in specific places so you need a second player if you want to kill them quietly) is because the co-op is an option, all the missions will be beatable solo in any way you want, so co-op would make it overkill. I'm not saying that they should make the difficulty unbeatable for solo players, but make it impossible to beat in a stealthy way solo.

For example, maybe you need to air assasinate two guards because a fight would give up your position, in that situation a co-op difficulty would have 4 guards so you need a friend to help get the other two.

Sorry if I couldn't really explain it well, and if somebody got the idea and can explain it better, please do.

It's like they have spotters in forums and one of them read my tirade against tailing missions.

I hate them as much as I hate escort missions. So having the ability to willingly fail so I can just chase him or let him escape so I can locate him is a much better option for me.

Also I love the fact that if I start a main mission I can still do side missions until I get to the area and finish it. However if the mission requires stealth what I do on the way can affect what happens.

Also look at those crowds!!! Tons of stealth opportunities.

In addition, going in and out of all those buildings without load times will be awesome, just hope there is a wide variety of different side missions and looks of those buildings.

After watching a video on Unity, I changed my mind and am getting this game. It looks and sounds amazing, and co-op will be fun.

I do remember in Black Flag how they pointed out tons of possibilites for new games.. I really wish they'd do one in Egypt, and maybe one in the Japan Ninja era.
Japan or anywhere in Asia would be amazing to see. But Japan during those times did not seem to have a lot of Tall buildings. But other than that they can do a lot with it. Yeah Egypt is a good place also. I wish they would have more diverse places instead of working with Europe.

There has not been a lot of Ninja games that came out really when you look at it. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Ninja Gaiden other than that I barely see them. There have been a lot of pirates game. I wonder of they are gonna do it though.

It's hard to keep up with exactly which Ubisoft team is making their Assassin's Creed with the way they "all hands on deck" the games each year. I thought I heard the main team behind Brotherhood is doing this one.
