    Re: E3 Discussion Thread

Looking forward to Dead Island 2. Can't wait to see gameplay of it and hear all the new things they added. I wonder how the weapons customization is gonna be this time around.

But all-around E3 this year was good and better than the last. I think Sony had the best press conference so far. I'm looking forward to Destiny, The Division, The Crew, No Man Sky, Assassin Creed Unity, Dying Light and Dead Island 2 are gonna keep my happy for years. Well as long as they add DLC to them then I'm good.

Gotta get this PS4 and I'm good.

Agreed. I just bought a One today because of the price drop and no Kinect. No need for voice and motion commands for me.

Looking forward to the Halo collection and Sunset Overdrive. As well as the slate of great PS4 games.

I have to disagree with you here. Games will always be games. To me, they're not gimmicks. You don't have to buy it. Just present it as other means of gaming experiences.

The Move is supported by Sony for their VR Morpheus Project which from reports from E3, were well received. Forcing us would mean saying you have to buy this. This is being offered as an alternative to certain gamers. This was Microsoft's biggest fail.

What's even more sad is Microsoft's act of abandonment of the Kinect. The Kinect is a brilliant piece of technology that if offered separately, could have given you a different kind of gaming adventure. Wouldn't that have been a brilliant idea to market it. Imagine, if they supported game development as a virtual ME in that Sunset Blvd game coming. Or as the character Ryse during launch. Before the game starts, you stand in front, have it scan you, and there's my Virtual gaming adventure. But nothing from Microsoft at E3 except a death-kill dev kit to take away from Kinect for the GPU.

Move was more or less DOA to begin with relative to Kinect, Morpheus may change that but it's a ways away isn't it?

Some media outlets are speculating spring of 2015. I think it will be more like fall. Game Developers such as Gaijin, have recently said at E3 that they're supporting it in their development. Other support are now in development.

Project Morpheus will be a retail bomb regardless of when it comes out.

And the beauty is you don't have to buy it. Just play the game the same usual way.

But if War Thunder (Gaijin) can give me a different perspective flying the skies? If experiencing a VR combat that's done well as I watch a bomber blaze and plunge to the ground in 3D? Or if the folks at SCEA can make me experience taking the field in the Show with a different perspective?

                  I'm in.

I totally agree with you. VR and motion gaming is so lame. Can I just sit down with my controller and play a game?

Really? For a few secs picture using this technology and playing a game like The Division. If this worked well, to me, this would be off the chart.

Sounds really annoying, and the last thing I want to do while playing a game (tied with waving my arms around like a ****tard) is wear a Virtual Boy.

Different strokes for different folks and all, so not knocking anyone looking forward to it, but it's not going to be a big deal in the retail sector. As always the niche PC users who want this tech will "carry" it in the gaming sector. Gonna be a colossal waste of investment though.

                              Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Outside of that, the runners-up would be Zelda U, Splatoon, Bloodborne or Scalebound.

Hmm probably Witcher 3 or Dragon Age 3, with a slight edge to dragon age just on the fact I only played Witcher 2 for about 10-15 hours before I got busy and forgot about it.

Star Wars Battlefront is the runaway choice if were including that, but not much at all has been said.
