So let me get this right, you don't understand the hate that a ONLINE ONLY game is having absolute horrible match making issues? To the point that both the closed and open betas have been borderline unplayable. They are SIX days away from release and the match making is as terrible as it was for the closed beta. I'm sorry but the hate is easily understandable and warranted in my opinion. Don't rush to make a street date, release a solid working product. I'm so tired of seeing these games release needing months of patches to become worthy of their price tag, which at the time of when its finally working is no longer priced at full retail $59. We are growing tired of being launch adapter, high price point beta testers.

To make matters worse, this is far from UbiSoft's first run in with these kinds of problems. Sadly it has become their MO and making people gun shy of a product just because of the UbiSoft tag attached to it. Pump out 10 to 12 titles a year(13 in 2014, 10 in 2015) and this is what you get, compare that to Naughty Dog's (1 game in 2014, 2 in 2015). Quantity over quality is killing UbiSoft!

I agree 100% but to be fair, the consumer being the beta tester isn't just limited to Ubisoft games. I would say that the majority of publishers do this and use the ability to release patches to take advantage of the situation. Add in the fact that all of these publishers have investors and stock holders and well, us consumers are really the last people they care about. It's sad and not the way it should be but it's true.

I agree but at the same time, it's not the quantity that's killing Ubisoft as they have plenty of studios to handle the quantity, it's the simple fact that they just don't take the time they should to make sure the game is going to play and run good. AC Syndicate worked and while it had a few minor bugs and glitches, none of it was game breaking or to where it was like Unity. Not even close. It's more of the simple fact that if they need to give the studio more time and delay the game, they should do so but with investors, stock holders and now, Vivendi owning a certain percentage and rumors going around that they may try a hostile takeover, I can also understand why Ubisoft doesn't want to delay Siege or any game for that matter.

With that said, im still a Ubisoft fan and while I have no interest in Siege due to it lacking a single player campaign, I do have interest in The Division and Ghost Recon: Wildlands so im definitely hoping that if they need to, they take the time to get those games done right which doesn't seem to be the case for Siege.

Just have to wait and see what happens.

          Re: Rainbow Six Siege

I couldn't play last time, but last night I had no issues playing. It was pretty intense!

I think 2 things are worse though than during the closed beta.

          1) terrorist hunt is WAY harder. Like WWAAAAAY harder... I could beat it on Normal before, but last night was next to impossible. So that will steer a lot of people away - there are 2 difficulty levels above it, I'm not sure why they did that...they should have at least kept it the same for lone wolf, because now it's insane.

          2) I think they made online matches shorter>? maybe just for the bomb mode, but I felt like they didn't need to make it so fast... the game loads take longer than an actual match - no need to rush, I felt like it was all over in under 3 minutes ... also one match one of my dudes team killed everyone before the match even started! lol maybe they should nix friendly fire before a game startes or something, it was so stupid

Damn, I've been looking forward to an RB6 Game since Vegas and to hear that the game is struggling online(especially when that's what the game is tailored)too is disappointing.

A few months ago, this was a Day 1 Purchase for me but now I might just wait a little while on it. I do want this game, especially to run Terrorist Hunt, but I can fade dropping $60 just for ONE mode.

The server issues and such just add too it.

From what was shown in the patriots gameplay to what they are giving us is just a night and day difference to the stripped down content.

I will say the few times I played the beta it was fun but something just seemed missing. Playing with OSers would be fun but I got a feeling the lack of content will have peopoe abandon the game early.

I think terrorist hunt has a single player portion, if I recall correctly.

I'm still buying, they'll get it together. 2K is usually a mess every year online when it first comes out and I keep buying that. Poor logic, I know. But it is what it is.

So the game is allowing an open beta (which pretty much doesn't work) with the official launch less then a week away?? This game should really be called Early Access and not a full game release. I'll wait a couple of months to see if all the paying beta testers can get this game to the release candidate phase.

There is a difference between comparing a publisher (Ubisoft) with a developer (Naughty Dog). A better comparison would be attempting to pinpoint the lead studio for a Ubisoft game which probably still dwarfs Naughty Dog who I think has two discreet teams.

This doesn't mean Ubisoft doesn't get criticized for how they handle their studios and production pipeline.

The thing I'm most concerned with is the technical aspect of the game with regards to how it runs & matchmaking. No ones going tolerate long wait times during matchmaking. As for there not being a campaign I could care less. Warhawk on the PS3 was online only & I loved it, one of my favorite games on the PS3.

I pretty much never talk to randoms online, but I'm running into some cool guys on this. I was on a really good team, we won quite a few matches in a row.

To be dead honest, I thought about addressing it from the publisher & developer angle but figured it would get to muddy. So I just kept it simple because like you said, at the root of it all, it comes down to how the studios and production are handled. Talent can influence things and we all know Naughty dog has talented guys within their studio, but talent helps make a game stand out above the crowd. Doing your job is making something simply WORK and this has been a long standing issue now with Ubisoft games. They simply get rushed to release, filled with problems and struggling to just work as intended.

I don't know what it is, because I am drawn more towards Ubisoft games, I've slowly developed a distaste for them. Between them pushing their HORRIBLE steam wanna be "Uplay" on me and the constant failings of what should be amazing games, I've just finally grown tired of the Ubisoft issues. Whether those are coming from upper management or down in production, something has to change.
