Re: Rainbow Six Siege
How many of you guys play on Xbox? How are the servers these days? I may pick this game up if I can find the gold edition on the cheap.Comment

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
I play on Xbox One. I originally got it for PS4 but none of my friends were on there so I traded to get the Xbox One copy.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
Played last night, and as bad as the servers had been since The Division's release, they were ridiculously good last night. Found Ranked games in a minute or less, whether we had 4 or 5, and in game the netcode seemed relatively on point. This could have been a random thing and they're going to be cat poop again going forward but it was a welcome change from what it's been.

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
Had a nice comeback as we were tied at 2 rounds & I was the last one left & the enemy tried rushing me. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/DaO6wFCUyP0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>"If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
Thanks even when it has issues I still enjoy the game alot. The first thing I do when I'm outnumbered badly is go on the defensive depending on time left. Most times they will try to rush to swarm you in numbers but it can also backfire. Re: Rainbow Six Siege
I still play this a decent amount. A good amount of issues seemed to be ironed out at this point. There's still slight latency issues no matter your connection. I might just be spoiled from playing so much CSGO where that game is seemingly flawless regarding latency and hit detection issues. There's still times where "ghost kills" happen for me and against me. I've just come to accept it.
One annoying issue my group has run into is multiple people with walls. We've probably come across 3 people using them over 2 weeks which is too many people in my opinion. 2 people admitted to using them during the match(which was probably idiotic and made Ubi's job easier with banning them) and the 3rd never used chat during the match.
This game is still fun. It hasn't reached it's potential in my opinion and it's starting to look like it might never do that. I accept it for what it is at this point and am no longer expecting a game as polished as CSGO. This is more like Red Orchestra 2 where I've just come to accept the slight latency in it even when you have a connection with <30 ping.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
New update incoming. http://mp1st.com/2016/03/29/incoming.../#.VvvtW5wrKHs http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...-3-Patch-NotesSpoilerBuck’s Skeleton Key’s environmental destruction has been enhanced
We have designed Buck with the intention of having him be a versatile Operator that is able to go wherever he desires. We do not believe that the state he currently is in reflects this.
The initial intent was to use his underslung shotgun as a tool and not so much as a weapon. As the pros have shown us in the Pro League, it is working as a tool, but it could definitely be more efficient and useful.
Therefore, we have decided to increase the environmental destruction of Buck’s underslung shotgun. As the following series of .GIFs show, it is now a better tool and will help you get where you want faster.
SMG-11’s recoil increased
We have increased the SMG-11’s recoil. The weapon was too powerful as it was, with recoil that was too easily controlled given the weapon’s rate of fire. We have opted to alter it in two different ways for PC and for consoles:
For PC, we tweaked the SMG-11 in two ways: first, the weapon will not center back after a shot quite as fast as it did before (0.08 seconds -> 0.2 seconds). Second, the recoil will be more unpredictable now. We made that decision because we felt the recoil was too vertical, often giving easy headshots since that weapon’s rate of fire is very high.
For consoles, we have increased the value for the rate at which the camera rises. We have roughly doubled that speed. What that means is that the player will have to compensate downwards more with the joystick in order to control the vertical recoil. We also applied the same tweaks to the vertical recoil as explained above for PC controls.
We have increased the SMG-11’s recoil for 2 reasons: the first one is a combination of the fact that the recoil is almost purely vertical and that you can put an ACOG sight on it. We consider this to be too good of a combination, and the Pro League’s players seemed to agree, given their loadout selections for Smoke and Sledge. The second reason is simply that it is a secondary weapon. We hope that this will strengthen its role as a secondary weapon, and lessen its use as a primary"If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Update 2.3 has been delayed temporarily for consoles as they have found a queue bug that needs to be fixed. http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...d-for-Consoles"If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
I'm not upset by this. I'd rather be able to play games relatively consistently over a nerfed Frost shotty and nerfed Uzi.
Approaching 200 hours and feel like my game is coming into it's own finally. Map knowledge is so crucial. I knew so much more at every 50 hour interval and continue to learn.

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
I've noticed that when having appearing offline on for the PS4 you get a session error after you play a game be it 3 rounds or the full 5 in casual. I tested it with appearing online on & it's fine must be a conflict with the new PS4 feature. I never tried it in ranked so can't comment on that. I normally play with it on but it should be looked into. Has anyone else had the same issue on the PS4?"If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
Ok, after some more play I'm... disappointed.
Despite the nice environmental physics and the nuanced tactics it permits, the actual action is pretty arcade. Really, your aim, arms, and body movement moves in a way as fast, clean and precise as in a CS game. The ending result is that, even if tactics and teamwork is a factor, CS-like twitch headshot reflexes still rule the day. Strange mix, really. I won't say it's crap or anything, but instead of the ARMA/Stalker/Original R6/Ghost Recon-like experience I hoped for, you have more of a CS-plus-physics one.Comment

Probably won't be as funny to you guys as it was to us, but the way this guy crawled up on our teammate killed us. I was beyond amused when it went down lol.
Great session tonight - kills o' plenty. It was a rough one last time I hopped on, so it was nice to actually kill some people this time. Hopefully they drop those new operators soon.Comment

At the end of the day, even though there's some twitch gameplay involved, this game let's good tactics and strategy be an equalizer. My modest level of success playing this game can be mostly attributed to the fact that I can out think my opponents. Games like COD, twitch gameplay rules all. I'm personally happy with the balance in this game.
