I've been getting into this game big time lately. So many improvements made and bugs fixed. Experience in this game really shows - knowing everyone's strengths and weaknesses is huge.

I recently stopped my quest to buy all the original operators and saved up the 25000 for Buck. What a great operator that fits perfectly to my game.

I just played this for the first time last night on XB1. Mostly did terrorist hunt. I really like it.

Buck is my backup in Ranked if I don't get Blackbeard. He's really great and if you get a handle on his recoil, good Lord watch out. He's a beast.

Glad you're liking the game, still playing this every day. Level 139 on the PS4, level 24 on the Xbox One. Can't get enough.

Anybody have this game on PS4 and could vouch it being an enjoyable title for a primarily solo player (I play way late at night due to work)?

A friend of mine plays solo all the time and loves it. I can only solo a couple of hours because it gets tiring when guys don't mic up.

I just bought the game a few days ago, having played the closed beta, and I play it solo for terrorist hunt and situations. I found that I actually don't like to socialize online and talk and all that - so it suits me fine. In BF for example they have hot keys and you can play the objective and don't really NEED to talk (although you'd do better), but this gen I just kind of don't do that anymore and find I enjoy more.

This game would be a bit tough to play multiplayer without a mic, I bet I'd get booted a lot and scolded! But for now, Terrorist hunt is fun and bf1 will give me any competitive relief I may have.

I just held out until now because it needed patches, and it got them and I'm pleased how much content they added - so for 45 bucks CAD I'm happy with the choice.

This is definitely a game that should be played with a mic...in Ranked. You can totally play Casual lobbies without a mic and most people are fine with it.

I don't use the Blackbeard much, but I think the changes are good for both sides. That shield he had took too much damage. By lowering that and giving him two, I think that provides a good balance. And claymore's are in now?! Oh boy!

I used him yesterday and tbh he's just as OP as before if you know what you're doing. I didn't die any more often than before and only one time had one of the two shields almost destroyed.

We'll see how or if that changes as I move up in Rank.

Edit: I should mention that I agree the changes are good. I just don't think they go far enough. It's still 300 hit points to take both shields down. It should be 200...or less. I use him cuz of how OP he is.

I played against Blackbeard a few matches last night and destroyed his shield and got the kill in probably 4 of the 5 engagements.

Claymores are nice though. So many people are dying from them early on. I love it.

Trying to think of "ideal" teams if you were to put them together at this point for both offense and defense.

Offense: Thermite, Thatcher (maybe Twitch instead?), Blackbeard, Ash, Capitao? I like Buck and/or Sledge and could be convinced either is a better pick than Capitao

Defense: Rook, Valkyrie, Jager, Doc, Mute? Have Rook and Doc "stay home" and the other 3 roam?

Yeah, I like those picks. Certain attackers and defenders are good no matter what gamemode it is. Attackers like Thermite, Thatcher, Buck, Ash ... always good. A guy like Fuze should be avoided for the most part if it is Hostage retrieval.

For defence I love Jager, the shotgun is pretty good, but Jager is most useful when not in Hostage mode.

I still don't understand this game at times. 3 days in a row now the servers have seemed like absolute ****. It feels like when the game first came out.

Also, Favelas is the worst map in the history of games.

I think it is time I take a break from this game again. I don't know if it is a result of the last patch or not, but the hit detection and lag compensation has returned to how it was early in the year. They had it playing real well for awhile, but it's just really really bad right now.

I just played one match tonight and recorded it so I could go back and see if everything I saw was right. So in round 3 it's a 1v1. Me vs Thatcher, he's lit to probably 10-15 health. I try to go through a blown up wall 3 times and it rubberbands me back into the room each time. He approaches that wall to shoot me through it later and I hit him either 4 or 5 shots and he lives. He runs around the corner and kills me. Great hit detection, Ubi. Blood paints the wall, but they are actually never hit.

Round 4 I am watching our flank. I instantly die, no gun shots or anything on my screen, just an insta-headshot it says. The killcam shows he was at the corner I was watching. He just ran the corner and saw me and had time to ADS and shoot despite me never seeing him. I go back and watch the recording and he never was there for a single frame before my death so I literally had zero chance at killing him.

Round 6 I am watching a doorway. I take 2 shots, then get headshotted. Again, killcam shows the guy in the door I am watching despite me never seeing him. I go back and watch the recording and once again there is not a single frame where he was actually around the corner of the door on my screen so I never had a chance in that firefight either.

The ghost peak kills are as bad as they have ever been as well as the hit detection. It sucks because I was loving this game, but Ubi has dropped the ball again. I had 50-60 ping all match which was second lowest to a guy who had 40-45 on my team. Their team was all between 50-80 ping. So I don't think the pings were the issue either. This is just problems that have become prevalent nearly every round again like they used to be.

Oh well, time for a new game.
