I actually started playing this game about 3 weeks ago and I'm up to level 48.

Damn this game is addicting, even though I suck pretty badly.

Anybody still play this on PS4?

      Curious of your thoughts:

Is it utterly necessary to have a mic?

      Do you ever solo queue?

      How is hit reg?

Are there a lot of players each play session? Meaning, does it take 2-5 minutes to wait for a game to load up?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Welcome to the game, my friend. Better late than never. Glad to hear you're enjoying it. By far my favourite shooter of the past 12 months. The learning curve will be steep but keep at it.

        What do you play on?

I played for the first time in a long time yesterday.

I usually play solo (I don't know too many with the game) w/ no mic. Unless people are playing in parties, it seems like there is typically not a lot of communication. I find that I still enjoy playing solo, though I can imaging that the experience is much better communicating as you plan your attack.

I am not sure how to evaluate Hit Reg, so I can't speak to that.

In my experience, the games have never taken too long to get to the next match. You might have one or 2 people drop but it finds players pretty quickly.

I play on both XB1 and PS4. It's not necessary to have a mic but in a squad of 5 ppl with them the experience is definitely more enjoyable. I solo queue alot and my recommendation would be to put it to Secure Area only, leave Bomb and Hostage out of it. Those two rely on more communication than Secure.

Hit reg is better but still bad at times.

Picked this up while it was on sale for $25 the other day. Man, the learning curve with this game is real. I've had the occasional round where I've pretty much killed the entire other team, but there's been a lot of games where I finish like 1/1/4. You can really tell that I'm a noob. Other guys know EXACTLY what they're doing at each map and I'm just kinda trying to figure it out.

Only been playing the last couple days, but I'm up to level 10 or 11. Mainly been rolling with Rook (so even while I suck, I can at least give armor to my mates), IQ, Twitch, Kapkan, and Smoke.

Rook is a solid choice on defense, almost nobody wants to play him but everyone wishes someone did because of the armor. Kapkan is someone I've recently begun playing as and it can be a really good time when you have that round where one or two guys hit the trap.

On offense, Twitch is bae for me lol. Best gun in the game, IMO. You would do well to unlock Thatcher next and use him. He's the Rook of offense. Nobody wants to play him but you pretty much always need him, especially on Secure and Hostage.

Good luck! GT is OGS Tdot on XB1 or TdotsFinest82 on the PS4 if you ever want someone to play with.

The one thing that annoys me is that every mode essentially boils down to TDM. I'll occasionally see a team successfully secure the area, and I've seen one or two bombs planted. But for example, ive never seen a player actually touch the hostage.

But man, the checks and balances of each player and just the physics of it all makes for a fun TDM.

The best I can compare it to is Search & Destroy in the Call of Duty games of the past. Rarely were the bombs planted in that mode, it usually ended up being who killed everyone first. Siege is like that but on the best steroids money can buy.

You'll also find as you level up and rank up, the objectives become more important. Lower levels and ranks tend to stay closer to the objective because of comfort zone and unfamiliarity. Higher levels and ranks, it's not unusual to see four or five roamers on defense.

Also, if the lack of objective play is annoying you that much, forget what I said earlier in the thread and put your matchmaking to only Bomb. It has a tendency to get the diffuser planted alot more than a Secure or Hostage objective.

                      I'm on X1 - GT: shug11

I think I can honestly say that this is my favorite FPS and I hate FPS lol

Maybe it's because it actually involves more strategy.

My 2 favorite guys are Kapkan and Fuze.

Nothing makes me happier when I can get kills off my grenades from Fuze or my traps from Kapkan.

Yesterday I had a double round ending kill with my grenades from Fuze

And I've actually seen and had many attempts to secure the hostage.

I've noticed that alot of defenders camp at the hostage room, so unless you manage to clear that room you normally won't be able to grab the hostage and run.

Usually if you see roamers on defense, that is a great time for you to clear the room, then try and book it with the hostage.

I managed to grab the hostage once but due to my noobness I couldn't jump out of the window lol

It gets really intense at times with this game.

You guys hit me up if you see me.

I see objectives being played all of the time on PC as well. If you're only playing casual then it's TDM all of the time. When there are roamers I like to take the hostage and just sit with them in the room for and bit. You'll hear which way the roamers go and can then go the other way. No one ever expects you to grab the hostage and sit.

So last night was one of those nights that everything was going wrong.

I don't know what was going on with my aim, but I couldn't hit anything with my potato aim.

                            I think I went 2-5 before I gave up.

I'm trying to do the SAS challenge, and I just realized I suck with SAS. Maybe mediocre with Sledge. I do love busting down any wall I can. I don't think I've ever taken a single doorway when I play as Sledge. I literally just look for any breakable wall and make my own path.. lol which is probably why I end up getting killed right away.

I feel your pain, I'm pretty bad with the SAS operators on defense. Offense, I'm ok with Sledge and pretty good with Thatcher. I feel like if I devoted more time to Sledge, I could become pretty good with him.

Those nights of potato aim will happen from time to time. All it takes is a couple of rounds where you get beat to a kill in a gun battle and you start rushing your aim and it looks...pretty bad lol.
