Still think its just an amazing game. But for me the core game not dlc are where it shines
What part of the DLC is giving you trouble, difficulty-wise? Trial of the Sword is tough, no doubt, but haven't felt overly challenged with the other content.

I've got the first row of hearts and two circles of stamina and I'm sitting on nearly 20 Spirit Orbs. Think I'm ready to start taking on the main quests again. I'm thinking more hearts will be preferable. I haven't run into anything where I needed more than 2 stamina circles.

Suggestions how how I should spend the Spirit Orbs?

Glad to know I'm not the only one who hates the rain! Googled this while, once again, waiting for the rain to stop...

Breath of the Wild is an amazing game, but I do have some gripes with it. My biggest annoyance has to be the rain, an entity that has caused me more pain

The rain is easily the worst part of the game, and as the writers say, has caused more pain and suffering than any of Gannon's evil forces!

My response to rain is often to put the controller down and come back in a few minutes. That might be the definition of bad game design when the player is encouraged to just walk away and come back when the “event” is over. Some earned way of dealing with it (song to stop/start rain, rubber gloves, a Divine Beats skill, whatever... needed to be included). It’s in no way a game killer, the game is wonderful, but the rain is notably self-inflicted wound for an otherwise awesome experience.

Finally took on a couple of the Divine Beasts. They were great, though I wish there were more monsters to fight in them. Still, I would have traded all of the Shrines in Hyrule for another 8 Divine Beasts to conquer.

Here lately I’d been getting the itch to do another play through so I started one the other night...

Man it has sucked me back in all over again. It’s cool because I still remember enough to where it isn’t foreign but it feels fresh and new again.

No hyperbole this might be my favorite game ever...it’s just pure frickin magic.

I’m down the rabbit hole once more and am more than happy to be so....

I got the itch again a couple months back and started on Master Mode...yeah, I don't think I'm ready for that. The regenerating health is doing a number on my weaponry.

I've been thinking of doing another playthrough, too. I'll likely just create another profile and start anew. I don't want any part of Master Mode.

I took a few month hiatus and got back into it over the weekend.

This game is truly brilliant. The sheer scale and immersion of the world is phenomenal. I just finished my third divine beast, but only have 60 shrines, so I’ve put my efforts into exploring the world and unlocking shrines.

I keep running into new locations with breathtaking detail. I love the way the terrain and climate varies so drastically.

Has anyone purchased the strategy guide for Zelda? I was looking at the gold hardback guide with Zelda on the front. The book was in shrink wrap, but it looked to be a few hundred pages long.

It has been many years since I’ve bought a strategy guide. However, with the sheer size and scope of the world it seems worth it to make sure I am completing everything.

After numerous restarts (and finding a cheap docking station for the den) I finally finished this game. I honestly thought the game was a little overrated before. I'd always get lost after meeting Impa and put the game down. Then once I picked it back up I'd restart to get a better feel.

Anyway, this game is a masterpiece. It's hard and it doesn't hold your hand like most games today. I see why my son put it down. No shame, I'm an Easy mode player. I just want to enjoy the ride. With Zelda, I had to look up guides like back in the day. But once I got pass the first Devine beast (the Elephant one) I had my bearing. It really does feel like a grand adventure. I knew i was hooked once the cell shaded graphics didn't bother me and just marveled at the settings. It's fitting that in the last fight with Ganon, I had literally gone through all my food and weapons when I finally killed him. It was so satisfying. I hadn't had that feeling since playing old games back on the Genesis. I only wish that we could explore Hyrule without the blight around after finishing the game.

So played a little. Got to the part where I have to find the Devine best but man this game kicks your ***.

Those 4 legged walking around things are pains in my ***. They are faster than you and hit you with a 1 shot laser.

Also so far I'm not a fan of the weapon breaks. It's very annoying.

Those guardians are a *****. I didn't have the confidence to go up against them until I aquire the master sword and hyrule shield (that deflects their lazers). I think those ancient arrows work well too, but I suck with the bow. If you come across a Lynel, just run. Those mfs are harder than the bosses.
