Once you acquire more power weapons things start getting easier and eventually you just rampage through those marauding guardians and Lynels. The game punishes you if you think you can go up against some of these bosses right off the get go.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch/WiiU)
Those guardians are a *****. I didn't have the confidence to go up against them until I aquire the master sword and hyrule shield (that deflects their lazers). I think those ancient arrows work well too, but I suck with the bow. If you come across a Lynel, just run. Those mfs are harder than the bosses.

Also how do you shield surf? Do you need a special shield to do it?

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch/WiiU)
Man, do I so love this game. Beat it last summer on our first Switch, but then gave that to my son and picked up a second one for myself. Had to start over (due to my save being on the other system) and restarted in Master Mode.
After a rough start, I'm neck deep in it again loving every minute of it. Really have to focus on attack strategy now...3 beasts down, but still not ready for a Lynel fight, or some larger hordes at the Skull camps.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch/WiiU)
I beat all the divine beast bosses a few months ago and the last mission now is to beat Ganon but I can't muster myself to play anymore. I enjoyed ride but for some reason I have no point to actually go any further has this happened to anyone else?Comment

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch/WiiU)
Finished it on normal. I’m probably 20 or so hours into Master Mode. Unlocked the entire map and have access to all divine beasts. Done enough shrines to have 10-11 hearts. Master Mode is a different beast entirely.
This is a desert island game for me easily.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch/WiiU)
Just beat Ganon on Master Mode and holy cow was that hard with the regenerating health aspect. Now I get to see my percentage compete after another 50 hours of playing...22.57% complete. Oy.
Now to start exploring some more...

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch/WiiU)
I'll be honest with you, it was a little disheartening at the start as my weapons sucked, all the enemies were a level higher and regenerated health, so I ran away a LOT! It was heard to get past the 2-3 hour mark, and then I just started hunting shrines, and finally got some more powerful weapons via chests and then the fun could begin!XBox Gamertag: djbeth77

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch/WiiU)
Bumping this as I'm starting another playthrough...just found a random house in the middle of a forest off the beaten path, clearly someone lived there. There wasn't anything special about it, had some anecdotal stuff in it. It's not a huge story beat or anything of the such but its just things like this that make me think how many other people have found this? And when? It's just so damn magical.
I've forgot enough about this game but it's still familiar enough to where it makes special again....hell and there's still places I haven't seen yet that I can't wait to see.
This game really is the GOAT.Patrick Mahomes > GodComment

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch/WiiU)
With the bump, I still have to say this game did not suck me in like I expected. I have played and beaten every Zelda game, but there was just something that never clicked with this game.
I have taken down just one beast, and haven't played in months.
