    Re: Trading in my PS2 for the Gamecube(I think)....

    IF you aren't interested in the PS2 games mentioned, then this is a sound move as the ps2 doesn't have many party offerings. The best multiplayer games on GC:
    - SSBM
    - Super Monkey ball 2
    - Mario Kart: DD
    - Animal Crossing(chicks probably would get into it)
    - Mario Party
    - Final Fantasy: Crystal Cronicles*
    - Zelda: Four Swords*

    *GBA connection a must

    On the flipside maybe try these games before you pull the trigger:

    - The Adventures of Cookie and Cream
    - Amplitude
    - Champions of Norrath
    - Bombastic
    - DDR Max 2
    - Smackdown
    - Karoke Revolution

    So PS2 does have some quality party games, you just have to look hard.

      It seems like you don't care about the PS2 exclusives, so if I were you just trade for the Cube. Or u could just buy the Cube since it's already so cheap.

            Re: Trading in my PS2 for the Gamecube(I think)....

            I just did it, thanks to those who helped me. Here's what I got, just in case anyone goes searching for PS2 trade-in values:

            System, 1 controller, cables= $80
            Controller= $10
            DVD Remote= $5
            Memory Card= $12

            MVP BAseball 2004=$25
            Sega Sports Tennis= $12

            Declined Offers(by me):
            Component Cables= $4
            Network Adapter= $8(!?!?!?!)

            Total, I recieved $144 gamebucks from gamestop. I then went to Costco and bought a Gamecube bundle that had the platinum system, a extra controller, and a memory card for 129.99. I then purchased Super Smash Brothers and Double Dash, and will probably save my other gamebucks for NCAA 2005 Xbox.

            Whew! I have alot of catching up to do! I haven't owned(and have barely played-my friends didn't have them either) a nintendo system since the original NES.
            I drive a 2005 Toyota Prius Gas/Electric Hybrid. My last tank was 53.6 miles/gallon. Gas prices fear me!

            Oversimplification is the escape of men who want to avoid the duty demanded by true understanding.
