Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
So I saw over on IGN that the guy who voices David (Nolan North) said "I know they are working on a Last of Us 2" at one point during an interview.
If true, and he isn't mistaken, honestly how do you feel about this?
I worry my opinion may not be popular, but I have to say....
I kinda think they should leave it alone. It's perfect as it is now.
Maybe if they tell a completely different story with completely different characters but I don't think I would like to re-visit the lives of Joel and Ellie. To me I just feel like the journey in TLOU is just so well done and I am too content and satisfied with the how that story is finished in the first game.
One direction I wouldn't mind is playing as the role of a reluctant bandit, maybe you joined strictly out of necessity and don't agree with the bandit camp's actions but you have to make hard moral choices throughout the game, something like that."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
I'd like a different group like with a pre-outbreak start to see what happens etc..
However I think it will be Joel and Ellie.... in some fashion.Joshua:

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
I am fine with a game with the same characters. I know the story was pretty damn good, but as long as they can continue with a great story, I am fine with Joel and Ellie coming back. I am sure they had a sequel in mind when creating TLoU. I just want more game in that setting.
Plus more multiplayer goodness with the sequel. Hopefully a mode where you play as infected or the infected are sprinkled into the modes.
If I find it cheap, I am going to re-buy this game for PS4.Comment

I'm not with you on the infected though - I know that's the entire game's reason d'etre, but for me the multiplayer scavenge and survivor are as close to MP perfection as it gets. More character customization, maybe more weapons (but mostly aesthetic differences, because it's so balanced right now)
But the infected I'm not interested in, unless it's a totally seperate mode, but if they removed regular human vs human straight up gunfights I'd be really put off.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Say you are hiding behind a rock with two infected around, but they don't notice you. I see it and throw a bottle right by you. They turn, see you, you are having to now run from them and can watch them destroy you or try to get the kill. Just something like that.
BTW I found a code for digital download for $12 on CDkeys.com.Comment

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
Dangit, you guys...you're killing my plan!
I got Remastered along with Mordor (both on sale) a few months back and haven't played either one yet so I can finish up a few other games I got with my PS4 (Far Cry, Dragon Age, and still working through Mass Effect 2 on PS3). Until recently, it wasn't that hard because I played it on PS3 so it was more the visual upgrade that I was excited about. Then I saw this thread get bumped up recently and mistakenly decided to take a look at why. That led me to go back and read all 79 pages of comments. Now I REALLY want to break this one out and have a PS4 playthrough. Any suggestions on which of those other three I should abandon? Or do you think they're all better than a return trip to the land of the Infected? If it makes any difference, I haven't played Left Behind or the multiplayer.
I'm leaning toward Far Cry because, while I have liked it, I'm just not really into the GTA-style games too much. I think I finally got to a point in Dragon Age last night where things will start to pick up or that may have been up there since things seemed to be moving pretty slowly.
Another question...is the multiplayer still conducive to starting in on it? I enjoyed the Uncharted MP but always played through the story first so, by the time I got to the online, everyone else was so stacked that I had trouble being competitive. From some of the things I've read, this MP seems a little more "noob-friendly" than a lot of others. Just curious on your thoughts here, too.PSN: JWGoNDComment

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
Put in quite a few rounds this weekend. Finally starting to get a handle on the game. Had my best round a little bit ago. This is easily the best online shooter on PS4.

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
I played a little last night, for some reason I just can't get a handle on the controls. They are so different than 99% of every shooter out there. Switching weapons on the D-pad, crafting on the touch pad, triangle for shiv & pick up. Just sheer wonky-ness in my opinion. Its a brutal online game and very fun, I just wish I could understand everything it has to offer.....including all the abilities.Comment

I was the same exact way when I first tried it. The more you play the better you get. The controls are second nature to me now. Just it some time.

Yup, same for me. The controls take a little bit to get used to, but it's well worth it to stick to it.Comment
