Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
Well yeah, what I meant is you shouldn't play the whole game over just to try and read someone's lips in one cutscene haha. That could be a recipe for disaster in and of itself. You also don't need to justify playing on easy that's typically the way I play also. I just to force playing on normal and once I quit doing that I started enjoying games more. The good thing is difficulty trophies tied to what level you play on are going away. That allows you to mix and match the level if you see one is to easy.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
While the 2nd game is controversial since you loved the 1st one so much you will need to play it also. Despite what side you fall on its worth your time and you will remember it. They are a lot of quality non sports game on the market with a good story that's worth being played.

I can't decide if I should give myself a break from the story, which surely was emotionally overwhelming, and play something different entirely for the next month or three (I have Horizon Zero Dawn, Watch Dogs 2 and Life is Strange awaiting their turn), or jump right into Part II while I am fresh off that stunning, rattling finish of Part I.
In the meantime I'll try my best not to run into any spoilers from Part II. Hopefully I can pull it off.Last edited by Executor; 08-17-2020, 12:27 PM.Montreal Canadiens

Then you probably shouldn't watch that video I gave you while logged in to YouTube. If you do, you're probably going to start getting a lot of Part II recommendations, either with gameplay or reviews. They can often have spoilers in the titles or thumbnails.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
I will certainly play Part II at some point. Controversial or not, I don't think anything could stop me from that. My only dilemma is when.

I recommend taking a bit of a break between games so I would say play something in between. I would say Watch Dogs 2 of the ones you mentioned its personally in my top 5 games this generation. Because its in the complete other direction and you can just sit back and have a lot of silly fun. HZD is amazing also, but its a long game I played it for like 70 hours.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

With so many spoilers running around I wouldn't wait to long till I play the 2nd game. You also want to play it soon as the smaller details of the story you still remember. The 2nd game is about double the length of the 1st one

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
Hmmm... so Lyanna Mormont will be cast as Ellie in the upcoming HBO series.
Good for her and I wish her well, but I can't help but think that they could have come up with someone much more resembling Ellie than this girl.
I can live with Oberyn Martell playing Joel as long as they put enough beard on him, but I am not exactly thrilled with the Ellie selection.
Still can't wait for the show, though. Atop the story itself and a good acting, the chemistry between the two will be incredibly important.
Damn I need to play through Part 2 until the first episode comes out.Montreal Canadiens

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
I don't have any strong opinions of the cast members. I know the rumor yesterday was they were going with a more risky person to play Joel. I think for it to succeed they are going to get the people to watch that don't know its a video game.

Re: The Last of Us: Remastered
TLoU is one of my favorite video game universes. The first game will always be one of my favorite games ever. Part 2 is just as amazing, but the first one will always hold a special place in my heart.
I loved Game of Thrones...seasons 1-4. At some point during season 5 I gave up on the show as I just got bored with it. So I don't think I've ever seen the actress they picked for Ellie, can't really give an opinion there. The actor they picked for Joel was definitely good in GoT and is good in Mando. How hell do as Joel, we will see. I'll definitely go into the show open minded and give it a shot though, just based on my love for the games. And usually HBO delivers on the shows they produce.
So yea, I'm pretty excited for it, whenever it airs. I actually fired up TLoU today and played for a bit. I got the platinum for Part 2 after 60ish hours and 2 play throughs. And if Naughty Dog ever released a PS5 patch with 60fps, I'd play through the game again. I'd love to get the platinum on the first game, but that one is very daunting in all of the things you need to do. So that will never happen, however I think I'm on my 5th or 6th time playing through the game, spanning from the OG PS3 version to playing Remastered on both PS4 and now PS5. These are games I'll never get tired of playing. The giraffe scene still gets me everytime lol.Comment

The reactions to the rumor yesterday was disappointing to say the least.

The Last of Us: Remastered
I’m glad they didn’t go with what was rumored. Could be a good show. The Witcher is so it’s at least possible to make a good video game tv show but I have a feeling this will just be another zombie type tv show.
