I just recently added the tree brush mod along with the auto bulldoze mod.
I am holding out playing though as I want to wait until I get my new PC.. Something more to look forward to..

I lost last night actually, right after I took pictures of my beautiful creation I hit "unsubscribe all" and deleted the city. I have a brand new PC that I spent too much on and even that can't handle it. I downloaded too many mods and assets, I went overboard. My next great city will look more American, I will not use any traffic mods(those really hurt performance), and I will try and keep mass transit a little more simple.

I just recently started a new town. It's nothing that crazy, but I love this ramp system I built.

                      Re: Cities: Skylines

Does anyone here use the Traffic Manager President Edition mod off of the workshop? I recently found out it is the cause of my cities not sending any service vehicles out. No garbage trucks, ambulances, etc. They sit at 0/17 and flicker to 1 for half a second. One random building will send out a handful of vehicles, but that is it. It causes my cities to be impossible to maintain as garbage and dead bodies pile up on every street. I loved managing traffic with lane connections, speed limits, vehicle limits, etc., but if the mod is going to break my game like that I obviously can't use it.

Has anyone that's used it run into that issue and found a fix for it? Or does anyone know of a mod that allows me to manage speed limits, lane connections, etc.?

Don't know how many of you still play this, but I decided to jump on the Mass Transit DLC out of the blue and got back into playing this. I've gotten a good amount of mods installed this time and finally am hitting my stride to where I am not just starting a new city every other night. I've been working on this one slowly, but consistently. One of the mods I am using makes the population more realistic, so this city(really it's a town) is still just over 5,000 people, but I've had a lot of fun doing minor detailing. I've stayed with clean energy and tried to avoid polluting the air with basic industry the entire time, so that has also slowed down the progression. Anyways, here is Springfield.

                        Spoiler

You can easily tell compared to the last pic I posted of the ramp system that even just basic detailing makes a huge difference in the look and feel of a city. You can also see, or at least I feel this way, that I've gotten much better at creating better looking cities and not something so gamey.

Picked this up today.... being brand new, wow is it overwhelming. I didn't get a chance to sit down until late so I had to shelve it for the night. Clearly got some learning/research to do first.

Anyone have any pointers or suggestions for a "noob tutorial" of sorts? There's obviously a plethora of videos on YouTube. Wondering if anyone likes any in particular.

Depends on what you want to mod. Actual gameplay changes, decorative, graphical, assets like a variety of small clinics, fire stations, etc.

I would recommend getting on the workshop and downloading the different buildings that add variety. It's a bit irritating the game shipped with such limited choices with service buildings. Thankfully we have a lot of mods that offer a variety of these buildings. Some times you only need a small clinic or fire station for an area of the city and not something of the size of the base assets.

Some of these buildings also offer new functions. My city I am working on now doesn't use landfills or incinerators. All garbage is recycled. It's expensive, but provides a fun challenge. This is also the same city that gets all of its energy through wind at the moment.
