I'm not sure. It seems like you should be able to, because even during the Summer Games you could swap between regular and summer games boxes. I think I might save up all my loot boxes from now until then just to test it.

Every hero has a counter and most importantly, Blizzard has shown they are investing time in researching how the game plays out to ensure it's balanced.



This game is still a wild amount of fun, win or lose.

I just don't feel it's balanced. And clap clap for blizzard monitoring and continuing to balance it.

Question. If I were to not open any loot boxes I earn from now until they release halloween stuff, could I turn my regular loot boxes into Halloween Loot boxes.

Doubt it I know when Ana was coming out you couldn't save loot boxes to open after her release in hopes of getting Ana skins/sprays/etc, blizz basically said what's in the box is in the box it's there as soon as it generates and doesn't change so any you'd open down the line would contain what they contain right now.

My hope is that you can just change to a Halloween loot box seamlessly like you could during the Olympics. But I dont think I had one unopened, so maybe it wont work. Im just gonna save my next 7ish while I try to prestige in time just in case since I have most of what I want from regular loot boxes anyways. If it doesn't work, oh well. If it does then I probably won't open a loot box after Halloween and save for Christmas. I'm just gonna assume they'll do events since they like money.

Finally finished my season 2 placement matches. 7-3 as Lucio, 2649 ranking. Oh well, time to start the road to Diamond.

FYI regarding loot boxes: content is generated at the time you earn the loot box. Saving them won't result in chances at new content.

D.Va can be tough to deal with for an average player like me but she hardly see's play at the pro level. Blizzard usually utilize buffs/nerfs based on trends in the pro games which can be a little annoying. Winston for example barely gets used in my competitive games but in tournaments he is one of the most popular tanks.

Anyway I finally hit Diamond yesterday playing primarily with Mei. Must admit I'm really good with her. Pretty sure my win percentage is around 80.

She needs a health nerf and her second life should only activate when she does a super. Not sure why she gets to run around with a dps boost when you kill her mech.

I play as zarya a lot so dva really is no concern for me. I love playing against a DVD especially one that doesn't run and tries to stick around. Melt her pretty fast either way whether she wants to shoot at me (faster death) or sit with defense (sitting duck)

Then at death if usually got enough built up boost that one or two timed energy shots and she's done back to respawn.

Plus her ult is great to get 50 power as a zarya

So...you're politely calling me a scrub? I see how it is.

Nah, I mean get the counters and such but I don't play at a diamond level (around 2300) so I see D.Va constantly - and scrub Ana players too, for that matter - so I'd like to see it toned down a tad.

Maybe it's because I play a bit higher than that, but I don't see many issues with D.va. I still think it's dumb that she has the most explosive ult in the game, and she is the only character who can't be hit by her own explosion. Other than that though, I think she does what she is supposed to do and that's it. Pick off snipers, harass the backline, throw up a barrier when pushing through a choke point etc...she can't decimate a team from range, mobile DPS characters can't really kill her solo, but they shouldn't really be dying to her either, all she can do against Roadhog is fly away once he's hooked you, etc. Defense heroes outside of Hanzo won't do much to her, but that's more of a function of the problem with those characters not being that great in general.

Multi D.va in quickplay though is pure death.

I rarely ever play as Zarya but last night I had a pretty fun round where a Mercy stuck to me like glue. That Zarya + Mercy combo really makes her a durable tank when you add in all the shields. I need to start playing her more.

I know what he's saying. She's one of my more played characters and when I play with good competition, I basically can't use D.Va. I get killed. Against normal players I dominate with D.Va.

Apparently some of the October voice lines are showing up in PTR. Hope we get the Halloween event announcement soon. Kind of holding off playing too much right now since I'm rank *18.
