After a month with the game, i can say this is as unbalanced as SF2.

You have Bison, Nash, Cammy and Chun as obvious top tiers, and all other characters are on a whole other level.

These 4 can pressure all day without punishment, thanks to lots of safe normals, high priority attacks and specials with invincibility. A good player with one of these can kill you as soon as they score a knockdown, cause, as you've said, most characters lack wake up options and have to rely on the predictable "turtling mode" on wake up. Then, it's either "prepare for the overhead" or tech throw.

It's funny how the game became predictable in just one month... And, i dare to say, boring.

      SF2 is harsh bro haha

I've somewhat felt the same though....odd decision to make so many moves safe on block, like full screen ex moves....and I'm with you on the priority....maybe I just need to keep labbing, I don't know..

Servers are down for maintenance. I believe the update will be available when the maintenance ends.

Update took me forever to download. Tried to get in a lobby with a friend and the game wouldn't launch. Tried to get a ranked match and didn't ever connect to one. I'm done for the night. Capcom.

They definitely need to nerf Cammy.

Too much safe moves for one character.

Alex is a tank and is going to be annoying when people figure him out...

I am guessing we get Guile next...and then...my main!

Alex is a blast to play. He plays almost exactly like in Third Strike (they've changed two things: One move now is only accessible during V-Trigger, and qcf+p won't let the opponent open for a power bomb unless its a EX).

His c.HP is an awesome anti-air that can be comboed into his super.

He has a "shoryuken" (with kick, not punch) that is a good anti-air, can be used as a combo ender (f.HP + c.HP+EX SRK+K/lk.SRK+K if the opponent is in the corner).

They've shortened the reach of the power bomb, but with proper mix up, it can be devastating.

I was watching some of your replays against Karin players.

I've noticed you don't use qcb+k that much. You should definitely use that more often than the regular throw, cause command grabs can't be tech'd and have more invincibility.

Laura's v-skill has two uses: One is the overhead kick, great against tatsumaki, crouching opponents and even as a anti-air (but it's situational, her best anti-air is qcf+HP). The other use is as a "in and out" move. It's perfect to get into your opponent to command grab him/her (especially after a knockdown: Front+v-skill, qcb+k as soon as your opponent starts to get up. Don't try this too much against characters like Ryu, Ken, Birdie or Cammy, as they have invincible moves with higher priority).

Thanks. Yeah, I command grab, but it's not a huge part of my game. I've actually been thinking about how I needed to use it more. Good looking out.

I need to find a better way to deal with rush downs as Vega....

It would make my life so much easier if the end of Crimson Terror was an overhead.

                            It'd make so much sense.

Vega is one of the few characters i don't know anything about (the others are FANG, Dhalsim, Necalli and Nash).

One thing I've noticed about Vega is that he is a mind game character. He's really complicated to use, especially because he has low health, low damage output and two styles of play (with and without the claw)

Amazon had a deal on this late last night and this morning for $10.32. Couldn't pass it up at that price.
