    Re: Street Fighter V

Pulled it off not once but twice in a casual match. Well, almost twice - the first time didn't combo (watch for the counter hit). 2nd one was clean. Rest of the match is 100% scrub as I'm trying to play a more conservative style than usual and getting wrecked. Once I was almost KO'd I went full YOLO with the combo I said I'd never do if it wasn't safe...lol.

It's not the CA version because I didn't have meter either time. I think the V-trigger version is flashier though.

      Nice work.

Cammy does a ton of damage man- I'm used to her having to chip away at folks bit noto this time around. I'm working on patience too....Vegas a good character of jump around with but against the Laura's and Karins you have to be....

        Re: Street Fighter V

I'm sticking with Ryu just because he plays much more like his SF3: Third Strike version (my favorite SF and the only game i played Ryu), and the parry added another layer of strategy to his game. He's much more balanced now, has good tools, huge damage, good pokes and he's effective against the majority of the characters (his worst matchups are Dhalsim and Bison).

I was a Karin player in Alpha 3, and i was really excited to see her in SFV. However, her moves are totally different now (even Seppo is a qcb+K now, instead of qcf+K). I miss her counters, and her V-Skill (Meioken, it was a special move before) is almost useless. I'm trying to re-learn Karin, but i think I'll stick to Ryu, Zangief and Cammy, my best characters in the game.

I've tried Rashid, he's fast, has a lot of combos, lots of useful tools and is kinda interesting to play.

I hope Capcom doesn't screw Juri and Urien when they become available.

My fighter id is razorkaos (same as PSN ID) if anyone's interested in some battle lounge fun.

            Re: Street Fighter V

This was the highlight of my session last night - another miracle comeback. The CA wasn't entirely raw, I was guessing his wakeup based on the earlier rounds. And I knew full well what he was activating V-Trigger for, and was ready and waiting.

            <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/4v73e8q8Vi4?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I had a real up and down night, got as high as 900 LP before hitting a huge slide and dropping back to just barely Bronze level before stopping. Think I got too tired.

League up, league down, league up, league down. The story of my SFV life right now. Hopefully I can stay in super bronze for a while at some point lol.

Game looks so fun but I always been more of a MK fan. Are the inputs still crazy like previous street fighters? Would love to play with some of you all since MK seems like it died out on OS.

Got to 1400 on a 9 game winning streak, promptly lose 3 in a row. They need to do someshing about these rage quitters though....it should've been 11 in a row. I'm gunning for that Ultra Bronze.

Don't know if anyone else would agree but SF5 feels a lot more forgiving input wise than its predecessor...

I agree, the inputs are a lot easier. Almost too easy as I find myself throwing in extra inputs everywhere. Cammy's moves aren't too different from before, but her Hooligan combo being an HCF motion instead of the 7 - 2 o'clock motion is a very welcome change.

There's no more 1 frame links, no more FADC bs, and the game is much less defensive than 4.

It's like Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Street Fighter 3: Third Strike had a baby, and this baby is SF V.

Combos are really easy to pull of, and inputs are so easy right now that sometimes i waste a full critical arts gauge because of the input shortcuts.

It's a game that rewards strategy, reactions, reads and creativity, just as Third Strike was.

Cool. Will be on the lookout for it. Too bad Rose isnt in the game.

I would bet she will be one of the characters included in the game after some time. SFV's story happens between SF 4 and SF3, so she could appear in the game.

Nice going on the 9 game streak. Best I've pulled off is 7 so far. And the inputs do feel more forgiving, but I'm playing on a stick this time. That has made a big difference for me.

Poor guy. When the fight was over I looked at his record and saw this was his 8th loss in a row. This one was probably a tough one to swallow for him. Street Fighter can be a cruel beast lol.
