5. Dead Space--I played all 3 and just finished replaying 1.

4. Biochock Infinite--never managed to finish playing the original but I sure did enjoy Infinite. A great ride from start to finish.

3. Unchartered 2 or 3--I replay very few games (despite what this list might indicate). I replayed all of the Uncharted games. 1 is great but 2 & 3 or just amazing.

2. The Last of Us--Played the original on the Playstation 3 and just finished replaying it via the remastered version on the PS4. Just a great, great game/story.

1. MLB The Show--Doesn't matter which year IMO. This is why I bought a PS3 and why buying a PS4 was a no brainer. Release day for MLB The Show is an annual vacation day for me.

IMO

1) MGS 4 - I'm not the biggest MGS fan, and prior to this one, the only one I'd beaten was MGS 2. But after going through multiple xbox 360 rrod's and finally giving into PS3, this had to be one of the most enjoyable gaming experiences I've had. The bosses were incredible.

2) Dark Souls - Got it randomly when it came out not really knowing what it was. Now it's my fav series of all time.

3) The Show (series) - Got MLB 08 along with MGS 4 when I got my ps3 back then, both were solid games and showed how powerful the ps3 really was. Not the biggest baseball fan, but I sunk hours into this game and have gotten every Show since.

4) Red Dead Redemption - Don't think I ever finished this game, but it was a great experience.

5) APF 2k8 - BREATH OF FRESH AIR


I think the common denominator with these games is that the developers were creative and put some love into them.

For me:

5. L.A. Noire/Red Dead (cheating, but I just couldn't decide... I like the detective angle of Noire, but the gameplay and story of Red Dead was amazing.
4. Call of Duty 4
3. Grand Theft Auto 5
2. NBA 2k11 (I think it was 2k11 that was the huge jump, but I get the years mixed up)
1. College Hoops 2k8

And a bonus to one of the few Xbox games I still play (the original Xbox): the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series (which I recently discovered is now an iPad game and I am hooked all over again).

1. Batman Arkham series
2. MLB the Show started out on the PSP and then in 2011 made me get the PS3.
3. Fallout 3
4. GTA V
5. Skyrim
6. Gears of War series
7. Mario Kart Wii

If we're including sports games that makes it tough. I might combine a couple games...

5. Madden - Had some repetitive titles and features missing but over the years I thought they tuned the game well and I had some great experiences with the correct sliders.

4. Grand Theft Auto V - What an amazing game. The only reason I don't have it higher on this list is that it's a single game.

3. NBA 2K - Besides a couple releases this was the best sports series for last gen in my opinion. No I'm not an mlb fan and haven't played the show so I understand my opinion is worth nothing lol...

2. Call of Duty - From Cod 4 to BO 2(Thank you zombies) I thought it was done tremendously. Multiplayer has taken a dive since BO2 dropped though.

1. Gears of War - The first one. The second one was terrible and the third one was alright. But this was out early in the 360 era and was the game that made me decide to buy a 360. Yes, I'm nostalgic and biased haha...

Obviously, no sports games, but HM for FIFA and NBA 2K. ME 2 or 3 is a toss up. didn't like 3's ending and it soured me a little. And I've poured more hours in R6V than any game on this list.
