I'm guessing the challenge is animal based?

It's not showing anything in the description or even an option to buy songs for the challenge in the store, but based of the 3 spotlight songs and what's in my library and the challenge I assume it has to be animal related in the name of the band or song.

The three Hootie songs released this are part of the challenge which is cool.

Dang, it looks like we really are going to have to play a thousand songs just to stay in our current tier. I should be able to play quite a bit today, though.

HMX has to manually push the "update" button on Thursday AM, but once they do, there is a section in the store for all the weekly challenge songs.

It may have just been an issue on my end, but that section was missing all yesterday for me. And it just kept telling me the weekly challenge was over, but I was able to click my way to playing the spotlight songs still.

Alright...got together with my brother tonight and got to play a little bit. Any time I we saw each other since Rivals' release was to watch Cubs games.

Sorry to say a couple songs we played didn't count because it doesn't score off multiple instruments on the same profile. I knew that (we were on my profile) but thought the person who enters into Rivals mode became the 'counted' score...didn't save either. Not a big deal for me because my guitar or bass score isn't going to top the list but we would've had a 5* hard score on vocals for No One Like You. Maybe I'll try humming them to at least log a score and then hit other instruments up for XP.

Played the first chapter of Rockudrama too. The humor is cheesy but hasn't annoyed me and kinda hits the 'so stupid it's funny' thing for me.

Stuttering is 10x worse even with just a second person. I can't imagine a full band playing right now. Where I'd get little 2-3 second sections in a song stuttering playing solo, this is just full song after full song. As long as I play to the music I can hold a streak pretty well - it doesn't seem to effect my calibration or the game recognizing my strums. Looks like a purely visual thing, which is still really ****ing annoying.

I don't see how we are going to get into the green this week with only 2 days left. We really need to get more members in the crew.

Yeah, I think best case is hitting blue to stay where we're at. I don't know what the ceiling is on a five-person crew, but we might be hitting it.

I come back from vacation later today. I'll make sure I play some before this thing ends to see if we can at least stay in the current tier.

My guitar just crapped the bed out of nowhere. Thing was fine and always taken care of.

Was playing a bit ago and stopped for a few minutes and left the system on. Now nothing on the guitar works. Tried new batteries and everything. As soon as I sign on the controller does nothing.

No lights or anything? That sounds weird. Can't think of anything just leaving it sitting that would cause that.

Rebuilding the database on my PS4 seems to have resolved my stuttering issues. I only played solo but I went through about 10 songs without a problem and I would have had at least minor stuttering by then.

Bluetooth light comes on. Lets me strum on the menu for like 2 seconds then nothing. Just took the whole guitar apart. No clue what is going on.

Tightened some screws after I dismantled it and just got it back together. Nothing. Even tried resetting the system and everything.

I'll try a database rebuild too then. Have never done one since I've had my PS4.

Well rebuilding the database didn't help with the controller. At a loss for words. Don't know what the deal is. Thing was fine 2 hours ago.

EDIT: Figured it out. Deleted it from the device menu and re-did the Bluetooth setup. Guess it crapped out. Seems to be ok right now.
