Their trade in program used to be unbelievable. For a few years Besy Buy was basically paying me to play games but that’s been virtually dead for at least a couple years now. I’ve been going mostly digital anyway lately and taking advantage of the weekly psn and Xbox Live sales.

This will hurt on the occasional day 1 purchase but other than that I’ll just stock up on Black Friday & check out the weekly digital sales.

I'm a member until December 17, 2019. This sucks, but it doesn't suck until then at least.

Why don't they just kick the price back up? The $30 model wasn't very sustainable.

It’s a great program that was cheaper vs Amazon prime. Mine last until April of next year. I don’t want to pay full prices for games and I’m going to be done with Amazon Prime in August.

That program was the only reason I bought games exclusively at Best Buy. Looks like that won't matter anymore, and I'll have a lot less reason to shop there. Unfortunate, but I think we all expected the program to end at some point.

I do wonder how much it will negatively affect physical sales overall. If physical and digital prices are flat, there's a lot less reason to buy physical unless you are specifically into it.
