Not sure what you mean? I've been ready to spend money there for a few days now. I don't think BB waiting to give reward points benefits them. Seems like they'd want customers in ASAP.

Either way, I'm not super serious which is why I used the word "ain't."

I think it's odd that NBA 2K, another major seller for them, is being released and the points from Madden that many gamers would use on 2K are being held up. That equates to more revenue for Best Buy.

But it's also more likely a loony conspiracy theory.

The point is more you're going to spend money anyway. For example, I would've used these rewards on 2K, instead I pay full price (minus the GCU discount) and they know I'll be back to use the coupon anyway.

If my Gears rewards (10/11) aren't ready by the time CoD (11/4) comes out, I'm standing outside the headquarters with a picket sign.

I get the point. Its the same point I'm making. If the reward points were in my account now ( or a few days ago) I'd have already been to the store to spend my money.

Since I don't have said points, i haven't gone and spent my money. Point being: BB is not making more cash money by hoding reward points, if anything they're losing money.

I'm not disagreeing with the fact that its BS, if you plan to get 2K and use the rewards from Madden from a month ago you should be able to, its been long enough and I'm in the same boat.

My point is not every person waiting on the rewards from Madden are using it on 2K. I planned on using them for NHL, which is already out, so here I am waiting.

Anyway, from a business perspective, it just doesn't make sense for them to keep people out of the store. And that's what is happening right now, which is why there is no way they're doing this on purpose.

Anybody have success with that FIFA deal?

Went to attempt to trade in some games yesterday but of course the 2 Best Buy locations within 10 mins of me didn't "have anybody authorized/trained to do trade-ins" SMH.

Yeah, I traded mine in, got a $16.50 gift card and the $10 toward FIFA 17. They did have to have a manager do it as the store employees had no clue.

Well no but funny you ask because they knew nothing about it and was just going to give me $10. Thankfully I brought up the OS thread about the deal and opened the Best Buy page and showed it to them and then the manager said he'd do it like Madden.

I do wonder if I didn't have a smart phone to access the deal if I'd been out of luck evaluate when I got home I looked in my Best Buy ad for the week and didn't see anything about this deal..

I had to do this exact same thing with the Madden deal.

If your store is advertising a promotion on this level, I don't get why a customer has to inform your employees of the deal and especially not a manager.

I'm not defending Best Buy in any way, but some stores act like these deals are coupons or something, like you present the thing to them.

Jamba Juice (a smoothie store in half the country) does these daily promotion things, and their "Thirsty Thursday" is something where you upgrade a medium smoothie to a large for free. I didn't think much of it the first Thursday I went in there since the promotion began, but the next day I asked about it and they said, "You have to tell us you want the upgrade, then we'll discount it," despite the fact I ordered a large in the first place.

I don't know, seems shady to me.
