GCU only works for actual games. As far as points go you just need to be a mybestbuy member which is free.

Pretty sure that you get refunded the same way you paid so if you used credit, you get credit back.

Damn that sucks... I'll have to wait until my GS subcription runs out in October.

You can always call them or go there and find out for sure 100% but im guessing that refunds are the same as how you paid for them.

I've read up on it a bit, but wondering if anyone could help with a question. Looking into getting an xbox one bundle, would signing up for this program be beneficial, or does it only help for games and accessories? I think it would help me gain points I could use for other content, but not quite sure?

GameStop's paid membership program used to let you have a 10% discount on used game consoles. But I believe those days are over? I think nowadays they just give you useless reward points that can't be redeemed for anything good.

Best Buy's reward points at least can be redeemed for Best Buy gift cards. I believe their conversion rate is $5 back for every $250 you spend. And you don't have to be a paid member to get those rewards. It's free to sign up.

Right now, though, the best Xbox One deals are through Walmart.com and Microsoft's online store. MS is giving away a year of Xbox Live and a physical copy of Assassin's Creed Unity with most of their system bundles right now. Walmart is adding a free game and a free wireless controller if you buy the Master Chief Collection bundle.

Yeah, ended up doing it during my lunch break. The pre-order for the Madden game was kinda confusing. They gave me the $10 coupon, but said it can't be used until I come to pick up the game, so they basically had me pay $35 (but took the $22 trade-in off of that), and then they're going to have me pay whatever the difference is when I pick the game up I guess.

I did the same thing you did, sign up and do the Madden stuff. Paid it all off and I owed them $16 something in cash and told me when I come back a with the coupon and I could pick up the game. So I'm guessing I just owe $10 bucks on the game and the coupon covers that. But I will look at the receipts later and let you know.

Does BB do the 100% trade in bonus deals much anymore? Those were pretty killer.

Yes they are! That's how I got my PS4 and MLB The Show for literally less that $100. But unfortunately I haven't seen one in a while...

This week I got an email from GS that I could use my points to get a 10.00 coupon. BB a 35.00 coupon.

I like the reminders as I have a tendency to forget about the points.

Stupid gamestop because THIS is the only benefit. This stupid points system barely accrues enough points to get me $5 off a video game and you get nothing from the immediate purchase like you do with GCU.

GS you get a monthly magazine and 50.00 discount/coupon deals each month. (albeit most times the stuff doesn't suit me)

Simply 2 different programs that will be prefered by different people I guess.

Agree that the points could be a bit better.
250 points = 5.00 at BB and I need 10,000 I believe at GS for 5.00
That is pretty weak.. lol

I do 99% of game shopping at BB due to GCU. I do have a 5.00 coupon I can buy though at GS but will use when there's something really cheap I want there.

Ordered this today. Got a bunch of trade credit the other day and pre-ordered Mad Max and Metal Gear and it offered me this online and discounted my preorders, so I did it. It's already almost paid for itself from those two preorders. It will have paid for itself when NBA comes out.

It says I need to go to the store to redeem it though. Do I need to do this before those games come out? It let me place the discounted order with my trade-in gift card, I just want to make sure they won't screw up my order if I dont get down to Best Buy before they come out.
