Nah, the difference here is that he starts the hype calling this the end of video games as we know it. Almost as bad as john romero ( actually no, no one is worse than john romero, plus his games suck).

Its one thing to hype up your game cause you feel good about it, its another to go over the top any time they interview on the progress of the game. With fable, you were supposed to do anything and everything, he was quoted as saying this game would revolutionize the way rpg's are played. The world was dynamic and no 2 games would play the same.

This of course was 4 years ago. But whatever. Again, fable is ok to me, but not as good a game , as lets say...ohhhh...i dont know...outrun2!!!!!!!!

yeah, my 2nd time through isn't much different than the first...I suppose there's stuff like buying a whole town, other things you can do after beating it, but that's for hardcore guys, I need a story I'm following. The gameplay in Fable is tight though, after a while the control becomes second nature, and with magic/weapon combos it is quite fun. Try using the Area Slow magic power with a weapon that has Multi Strike, quite intense. I've gotta try multi arrow with slow, not sure if it works on the range or not. I haven't found arrows to be that great, just because I can't get enough shots off to take out more than one guy before they run at me.

Oh, and Eddie, do the outrun 2 people have your entire family held captive and are forcing you to pimp that game like Fable was hyped? I'll have to check that out when it drops though, looks good

Question...did any of you play Final Fantasy XII? I know it went all girl power from the commercials, but I'm wondering more about the storyline...Maybe Star Ocean too, wouldn't mind having a RPG that takes me more than a few days (one of an insane amount of playing) to beat. I know Jade Empire, KOTOR 2 are coming at the beginning of Nov and Dec respectively, just don't know any other good RPG's either coming soon or all ready out. You guys know of anything more on the radar? besides Outrun2, of course

I did not play FFX-2 because the Spice girls tak on evil seemed comical to me.


I have Star Ocean but am only a couple hours in. I do not really know where the story is going to go yet. I can tell you that the battle system is very "hands on." All the fighting is done in real time and there is a lot more to manage than in Fable. You have a team and can switch to any member on the fly during a battle.


I have no clue how the game will turn out but I have read that it is a very long game that spans 2 DVDs

No need to keep my family hostage; outrun was and still is my all time favorite arcade game. The second one is just as kick ***, and has a ton of unlockables and missions, including racing against others online. Game is great looking too.

Yes i am totally biased for the game. But i played it at e3 and it's a perfect arcade port. I like racers and i love outrun.

we should just write our own RPG...too bad I completely suck at 3d graphic creation (tho 3ds max is pretty sweer, never used maya)

I thought after the story quests were over you could continue playing, such as completing demon doors, and getting married, and etc?

After you beat the game, watch the credits roll(15 minutes or so) and it'll let you continue.

yes, you can do that...I have my evil guy with the game beat and I went through and did a massacre on Knothole Glade...I think I'm pretty much done with the game though, the stuff I have left isn't fun to me (running around getting all the keys, unlocking chests, stuff like that)
