I spaced out my trial play time so that I would finish it up just about the time that the full game unlocked, and sure enough Xbox live is having some issues so I can't access the game right now. I bet it will probably be fixed around 9:00 pm.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever. -
Re: Mass Effect: Andromeda
From Virmire till the end in ME1 is the pinnacle of the series in my book.
What bums me out the most with Andromeda is a new galaxy should give them a chance to introduce a ton of new alien species, yet we're still predominately interacting with same ones from the original trilogy. Comparisons to the first three games were inevitable, but I feel it's even easier when you play it so safe; "this new Turian companion seems alright, but she's no Garrus".
A lot of the same ground is covered too, like, have you heard about the Genophage? Yes, it's only been a big pillar in the three prior games. Similar codex entries and damn I miss that narrator. Andromeda just feels a bit soulless, but I still want to play it after spending a few hours with the trial, again just going to wait for a sale or year from now when it goes up on Origin Access.
And yeah, there's been a string of really great games this year. Who would've thought the makers of Killzone would outdo BioWare their first try? Even the biggest dissenters of Inquisition and Mass Effect 3 would've called you crazy.
I tried to play ME1 back in the day when it came out but I didn't get far, way too much conversation for me very boring in imo. I enjoyed ME2, it had a lot of conversation but it had more action too which I enjoyed. I was a big fan of Dragon Age Inquisition and I expect to enjoy Andromeda when I buy it for the Scorpio this fall and hopefully by then the game is much improved as far as technical issues.Xbox Series X: KILLMUNGERComment

Re: Mass Effect: Andromeda
As it is, most of the reviews can barely agree on the drawbacks and are all over the place. It's a very confusing launch for sure.
All I care about is getting to finally play a new Mass Effect game tomorrow morning.

No game is complete for me without the CE Guide.
As always if anyone wants the E-Guide manual shoot me a pm. All that I ask is that you use it and not profit off it. Enjoy!!

It's really not, but the hivemind runs DEEP against this game.

My guess is that we will see that same thing in this thread...lots of love, hate, and everything in between.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Re: Mass Effect: Andromeda
That actually makes me feel better. If there were major consensus on issues, it would be more worrisome. When reviewers are all over the place, it tends to trend more towards nitpicking or personal expectations.

One thing about combat that is worrisome for me is the AI's failure to adjust to the situation. They don't really use cover or re-position if they are getting flanked. Even on insanity from what I have seen.Moderator

Yeah the only tactical decisions I've seen them make is they all swarmed when I got caught out in the open and I've seen them go back to cover when my team recovered.Comment

Re: Mass Effect: Andromeda
So anyways you really need to know what made the score the score first and foremost.
It's a sale only at this point for me but if people aren't bothered by certain things it's a day one purchase..
