I played through the demo and liked it enough to buy the full game on sale. I pretty much had to buy the game, the place where the demo ended, I really wanted to see what was next. Also the game looks beautiful on the PS4 Pro.

I finished the game a while ago. Personally, I loved it, but if I were to give it an objective rating, it would not rate well. The grinding and crafting were to prominent, and weapons felt underpowered, especially when compared to the better balanced ME2 and 3, which is unfortunate because the base combat was frigging fantastic.

I missed being able to pause combat and give my teammates orders, but the fun combat and flexible loadout made up for that.

I think my favourite part of the game is it felt like the Star Trek game I always wanted but never got. ME has never made any secret about the fact that it's heavily inspired by Star Trek (two TNG voice actors were in the original trilogy for petes sake) but Andromeda is definitely the one that feels the most like Star Trek.

Yup, the grind and the punchless weapons marred what was otherwise a pretty solid (though not exceptional) game. Wasn't Mass Effect 2 but I had fun. Just wish I didn't have to keep thinking: Man! This game is going to be so much better once I play through it a second time and don't have to worry about the grind and excessive equipment management.

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Never played a ME game before but tried the Andromeda demo. Turned around and bought the full version because I had some money in my PSN wallet a couple days ago. I’m so weak.

Decide what type of profile and weapon that you want to use primarily and flood those with your points early on, especially the passives. You want at least 1 power that's a primer and 1 that's a detonator for combos. If you don't wanna tackle using powers and wanna stick to gunplay, a setup that has turbocharge, Invasion, and backlash using the X5 Ghost assault rifle on an explorer profile will cut through enemies pretty well.

Does anyone else playing on PS4 Pro notice any performance issues such as freezing when driving the Nomad and tons of texture pop in?

I stopped playing for a while and picked back up yesterday and the performance in certain cases was terrbile.
