How are yall liking this? It is very hard playing this after the division for so long. Really having a hard time with the cover system.

Strange game this one......Compared to GRAW this doesn't play well at all.

No FP view in vehicles takes me away from the immersion I expect from a GR game.

Congrats on your new purchase. You are in ultra gaming bliss. I did just confirm that you are correct, I received the hdr notification. What kind of irks me though is my backlight was at 11 all this time. Shouldn't it be maxed at 20 for hdr mode? I feel like I've missed so much with it at 11 for all this time. I must have set that when I initially bought the Sammy.

Open Beta doesn't seem too different than closed beta which is mildly disappointing. I have to really caution against preordering the deluxe version of this game, I just don't see this selling that well so Ubisoft is not going to put much effort into DLC.

Unless this game launches better than the open Beta, it's probably going to be around a 50-60 on metacritic which will not bode well for sales. I'm preordering the regular version but that's it.

I beat everything in the first area during the closed beta, so I messed around in the new location for a bit. I only had one other person with me at the time, but the resistance against us was very heavy. Unidad was out to get our asses! 5 Skull on Elite isn't going to be a walk in the park at all. Based on what I've played during these two betas, I think this game is going to be right up my alley. Great map, tons of missions and the weapons feel great. Looking forward to retail.

                  Re: Ghost Recon Wildlands

Okay...finally played the game for myself by myself. LOL.

Right off the bat, a few things irk me...

                  1. The Cover system is bad. Guy never faces in the direction that I want him to face. Don't like the "stick" to the wall, etc. cover system. Seriously, why the team didn't copy the cover system from The Division is beyond me.

                  2. Gunplay mechanics. For some reason, just doesn't feel right. Maybe it's me loving the gunplay in The Division but still, it feels off.

                  3. The helicopter is a pain in the *** to fly. Why games haven't allowed you an option to just fly straight without the nose of the helicopter dropping is beyond me. I can see a little but go straight. LOL.

                  The good...

                  1. My AI team mates stay back when I tell them to hold which makes me happy since I want to play through the game solo. Didn't really attempt anything with them so I can't say if they're worth having them with you or keeping them back.

                  2. The visuals.....my goodness, this game looks absolutely beautiful on my 4KTV with HDR. And the draw distance is very good.

                  3. Game is MASSIVE. Jeez. I don't know if the map you start the open beta is one region in of itself or it's connected but if it's just one....holy crap!!!

                  Other.....

There is one thing that every single one of these types of games must have....no excuses...a kick *** knife so I can do some silent kills. Didn't notice any knives at all and I really hope that's not the case because im not a fan of knocking out the enemy. I prefer to take them out and being able to do so with a knife silently would be awesome.

Love all the options that you are given in regards to HUD and whatnot.

One of the best things in the game is that you can aim and shoot in third person OR aim and shoot in first person. I prefer third but even then, you can press the R3 button to switch into first person.

Enough of my impressions from the open beta. Obviously, im still buying it but it's a shame that a year later, the gunplay and cover system is worse/different than what it was in The Division.

I really wish that when you played solo, you were able to customize your teams gear and clothes. That kinda sucks. Hopefully that's something that can get patched in.

This game is a good example of a game that you should just hold off till they release more patches to polish the entire thing. I'm sure in 3 or 4 months this will play way better (Cover system, A.I, Less glitches and maybe More customization) but right now it's fun but needs alot of work.

I bought the Gold Edition but I'm just going to put it aside for a few months. That's pretty much my plan. I want a good experience playing this game not a launch day buggy server mess.

You've paid $100 for the Gold Edition, but you're gonna sit on it for a few months while waiting for improvements that may or may not come? That's just odd behavior to me that I don't understand, but everyone's entitled to do what they want.

As the game stands right now, I find it fun and more than playable. I haven't encountered any bugs in the hours I've spent with it, nor server issues. These things are always a possibility of course, (especially server issues w/ Ubi), but I can't let potential issues put me in a negative mindset about the game already. How much longevity it will have is an interesting question, but there's plenty to like about this game as it currently stands.

The cover system isn't something that bothers me either. I guess people are used to being able to lock into a structure in front of them and pop their head out. I find ducking behind barriers good enough. I also play a lot of Rainbow, so this feels kind of second nature to me at this point.

I've got to play the beta for close to for hours now and I am really enjoying my time.

I go all the way back to rainbow six days on the PC. Haven't had any problems controlling my guys or been frustrated with them yet. I have had them hold back on smaller encounters, but have used them for sync shots mainly on bigger compound raids so far.

I am liking the gun play and feel of the weapons so far. There's always an adjustment period when playing a new FPS.

The cover system is not bothering me at all. It has felt pretty natural/organic to me. And I rather enjoy it thus far.

The beta has me itching to keep playing so this is definitely a purchase for me.

The thought process goes like this...

                          1. I bought the gold edition few days ago but found out yesterday I need to do some construction on my house that will take 1-3 weeks and it's right next to my gaming area. So I really don't want to play a game that I need to focus and talk with people when loud work is going on.

                          2. You also know how much I love UFC 2 and I'm currently ranked #5 in the world and I'm trying to crack the top 3 by the time UFC 3 comes out. So that takes my time also.

                          3. The last reason is. I feel this is a summer game to play and im mostly going to play this solo, and by the time summer reaches which will be in a few months there will be a few patches that have come out and improved gameplay and any glitches or AI issues that were present.

Don't get me wrong the love the game and think it's a blast to play but like The Division, I just feel it needs more time for me to have a complete fun experience. I did the same thing with the division also and I played that game on the PS4 and Xbox 1. I do that with certain games that I really want to invest time in. I also did it with Mafia 3 and it made my experience on that game so much better then launch.

Because that would be very unrealistic and silly. That's how rotorheads fly, nose down. Granted, this isn't a helicopter simulator, but IMO if you basically take physics out of the flying, it really hurts immersion.

I was the other fool trying to run this fella here. We had no success. However, with a few more ringers like Boltman, these fellas will have no chance.

By the way, the hardest difficulty is where it's at. Very realistic.

I enjoy it. I think this open beta feels a lot better than the closed did. Especially when it comes to vehicle and flight controls. They're still not great (specifically helicopters), but it's a lot better.

I've been playing solo mostly. I hope to get into some online co-op over the weekend just to see how it goes. I do still find your AI teammates though to be completely useless. If they're following you, they're likely to get spotted even if you've done a great job yourself of staying hidden. If you order them somewhere, again, they just get up and run there, they don't even try to stay hidden it seems. It's pretty frustrating really. Especially when you scout the area, come up with a plan of attack, go to get your guys into position and they just blow the whole thing by running through the open and getting spotted.
