      I think so too Bolt.

I just went back to see what we used to play to compare. Was actually surprised to see it was no cover and some of those maps i remember like yesterday.

Difference is the gameplay was much slower and more methodical, likely because you had to direct your squad
And secondly you could turn a corner and get popped without the insta-heal.

Saw an enemy AI run and jump slide on his knees to shoot at the user. Where did that kinda stuff go?

It went away when little jimmy could not handle failure and instead of working to win cried for a refund or a patch.

The good ole days in some of those huge GRAW maps where you and your squad be methodically going through the woods only to hear a sniper round crack off the tree behind you. So many tense memorable moments with that game. The sense of accomplishment of beating Realistic AI in co-op missions along side other player squads.

Yep yep. That freaking woods map was hard.

I think i played GR2 with Warren G and his buddies on xbox and we never completed a map because they kept getting slaughtered.

There was no respawn so you just had to watch and wait till the map was complete or everyone was dead

And they couldnt communicate with you so they youd only hear them laughing or screaming 'i was saying watch out' immediately after you got shot in the back lol.

I recall that happening with flawless and some other guys here on one beach map

Have any of you guys played Arma 3? Like I was saying before, that game doesn't have a cover system and it doesn't get much more tactical and simulator-y than that game.

I definitely wouldn't object to one though. I really like it in The Division. But it certainly doesn't need it to maintain a semblance of a realistic tactical shooter.

                Re: Ghost Recon Wildlands

The actors they used for the communication in the IGN video sound so weak. I don't like the dialogue at all. For me, Ghost Recon is about co-op missions online and multiplayer. For the co-op missions, I want a reason to replay them countless times like back in the day. I'm not really sure if I'm going to get that based on the little I've seen so far. As far as multiplayer goes, I guess we'll see how that looks sooner or later. I still want to play it, but I'm not quite as hype as I was before. Hopefully I'll see more that will change my mind.

The first thing he said was its a WIP and features are missing.

Plus you missed mentioned way earlier in the thread, one of the devs mentioned to someone on OS at E3 they didn't include cover because they don't want camping online.

This is along the lines of what is worrying me about the direction they are going. They say they don't want camping so they pull the cover system. It feels like in the past if they didn't want camping they would introduce a mortar or artillery team class and force you to co-ordinate a mortar strike with an assault team with respect to timing eliminating campers. Pair a mortar team with that fancy drone they showed and camping would be about the worst thing you could do on defense.

The more GTA V comments I hear from people playing the game are making me think I actually may not end up picking this one up. I absolutely hated GTA V online for anything other than goofing off.

People always compare open world games to gta because they're open world.

I'm not buying that. I'll check it out more in about 9 months to see the progress

If it's even remotely like GTAV online then I wouldn't buy it, because although I love GTAV online it's about as sloppy a feel in control of your guy as you can have. You stop and he stops a few steps after lol. I highly doubt this is going to control all loose like that.

Maybe the control isn't the comparison they're talking about.

                              Truth.

Even Division had some slight laggy controls on console. Not as bad as GTA5.

Hoping this game is more responsive and crisp/fluid
