Yeah. Saw the sub Reddit. Just destroyed. Unfinished is a great way to describe it. I did notice that on PSN the release date 12/31/17 now. Which I found odd.

Agree. But for a game releasing next month, they usually are correct on those. Every other game with a release date has one.

this game is not finished. If it is released in its current state(It will) then it will be a disappointment for most of those who buy it. The AI is just bad. I dig the concept but it needs serious work.

Haven't played much but enjoyed the first little mission. Definitely get the Just Cause comparison now, feels like the first one, a little more grounded, with a mix of Shadows of Mordor w/ the spiderweb of gangs to deal with.

Getting together with some friends to play it later, will post impressions then.

This is really frustrating for me, I really want to like this game but I can tell playing solo is just not going to be an option. I will get this on day one and hopefully find some people on either Xbox or PC who will play it like a sim.

If anyone on PC either wants to play or wants an invite let me know.

I have about 5 hours into it. I want to like it. Trying to like it. CoOp is a blast. But. Ugh.

Division was much better solo than this imo.

To clarify. Division was more difficult solo but GR feels so shallow solo. I tried it on elite and still easy. I don't see a way to keep the teammates away but could have missed it. It's really fun co-op though.

I think the games biggest downfall will be it's just too big. Sounds silly to say that but it's overwhelming.

The Division was awesome and from what I have read, is even better now than it was when it launched. I love that game.

I can't comment on GRW because I haven't played it yet and won't until mid-March once I finish Horizon. But based on videos, the only complaint I have is the lack of a pure cover system ala The Division. Everything else is a perfect fit for me.

As for the team mates, it's in one of the options using L1/LB I think. I remember seeing it in one of the videos that was released a week or two ago. There's a "fall back" option. I'm going to use that when I start the mission and see if they stay put like good little AI soldiers. LOL.

Too big isn't a problem for me. I average 120 hours in every Ubisoft open world game and played over 300 hours of The Witcher III TWICE. And that doesn't include the expansions so too big??? Not for me!!! LOL.

It's been listed as 12/31/17 for quite a while. The early feedback from Beta is quite disappointing. Hoping for a miracle!

It's a lot like the recent Far Cry 4 in the movement, driving, flying, traveling, look of the jungle overall vibe very far cry 4ish. Shooting feels nice, guns sound good but controls are clunky and need work.

This game feels extremely unpolished, and this releases next month?

It's getting killed with the initial impressions on reddit.

If GRW plays like Far Cry 4 but in third person, I won't have any problems whatsoever. Don't like the sound of the controls being clunky but is that the controller configuration that's clunky or the actual movements of the character?

Not concerned about the impressions/comments because it's a BETA, not the final build of the game. Same thing happened with The Division last year based on the Alpha/Beta and the main complaint I heard once the game was released was that the "end game" sucked but thankfully, that didn't really apply to me.

Plus, let's be honest, even when Ubisoft releases a good or great game, it still gets bashed no matter what. I'll wait until I play the game before judging it.

Hmmm, the game you guys are playing isn't the final build. Most likely, you're playing a three to six month old beta. Alphas/Betas are never the final build and are always months old. The AI could also be dumbed down for the Beta as well like it was in the Division last year. Ubisoft wants people to get in there and have fun. Not get aggravated and frustrated with the difficulty especially since it's just the beta.

Pretty sure and confident that the game will be more difficult on hard and the AI being better in the final build.

Relax. Highly unlikely that GRW is getting delayed and even if it does, it won't be more than two months. The 12/31/17 date is just a placeholder date that hasn't been updated yet. The date is actually a Sunday and games never release on a Sunday in NA. I think that everyone is worrying over a beta and should just wait to the game gets released and then see if the problems still exist.

I'm not offended at all. In fact, nothing anyone says or does could ever offend me. As for the game, I just think that it's the usual hating on Ubisoft. It's a beta. Not the final retail build. I'm 100% sure that I'll like and enjoy the game because I know what to expect from the game. Out of the 15 Ubisoft games that I have completed since 360/PS3, only three of them were ever under an 8/10 for me. Those three games were ACIII: Liberation HD, SC Blacklist and ACC China. The other 12 were at least an 8/10 which includes three of them being my game of the year. Four if I count Outland but that was developed by Housemarque.

In general, I think that gamers tend to have way too high expectations for every game and then complain about them when those games don't meet those expectations. I go into every game with my expectations in the middle. Not low or high but in the middle. Doing this has allowed me to enjoy the majority of the games I play and complete.

I'm not really talking up GRW. It's more about the usual Ubisoft bashing and hate that they get with every game they develop/publish. It's a beta. The Division beta was bashed too on NeoGaf, Reddit and even here I think so it's nothing new.

Like I said in my Mafia III "review", I just get sick and tired of Ubisoft style games getting bashed yet other games get praised yet they do the same exact crap and have the same exact repetitive garbage that just seem to get a free pass.

I have no problem with any game getting praised or bashed but has to be even and fair but when it comes to Ubisoft and Ubisoft style games, it never is.
