It's definitely over powered, but I have no shame using the HTI sniper for an easy one shot kill on enemy choppers. I'd feel more bad about it if they didn't instantly spot you.

Does anyone know if ghillie suits lower the chances of being seen?

I've heard they don't. Purely cosmetic but I very well could be wrong.

So yeah, if you want to focus on one, check and check again where they fit in the hierarchy. We'd done them because they were 2-3 skulls and adjacent to where we started.
Good call. I'll take a closer look tonight.

          Re: Ghost Recon Wildlands

I was flying around in a helicopter last night on my way to a side mission when I saw a flare go up a a km away. I decided to parachute down to investigate and found Unidad soldiers doing a drug deal with some cartel guys. There's so much to discover in this game. I still haven't found out what all those burned out cars or random explosions mean. Could there be some kind of war going on between rival cartels?

I also really like how they handle civilians in this game. You can't just go all Just Cause 3 in this game. Not only can you not kill them but they react to the violence going on around them.

My biggest complaint so far (in the single player game) is how overpowered the drone is. The cooldown time is too short. I'm thinking there should be a limit to how many times you can use it without having to re-stock at an ammo drop.

This isn't going to be for everyone but I would love to see them patch in a game plus mode with permadeath option. It would seriously impact the way people go about planning their missions.

            Re: Ghost Recon Wildlands

My son and I were able to sink some quality time into the game this weekend. I'd estimate we spent four or so hours fully clearing the first section of the map, and defeating the bosses in their hunting love lodge.

This game in co-op is an absolute blast. We had so many LOL moments. We had a tense, at night (an aside: this game on the Pro with HDR is reference-quality. You can sell someone on HDR with GRW's implementation.), infiltration of the first Unidad base. We're playing on Advanced, so we had a few mission fails, and neither of us were ever put off by those.

Yes, there's open world jank, but when you get to laugh with your son at those moments, it becomes a positive to the package. Side note: I played both the closed and open beta solo.

No, the game isn't perfect, but for how I'm approaching and playing the game, it's one of the best games I've played this year. No, it's not old Ghost Recon, but it is certainly a fresh take, and I appreciate the team's work on this title.

One odd thing, maybe it was a bug?

One of the bosses we took out, his base was full of Unidad and the bad rebels. As soon as we engaged, the Unidad murdered all the orange dots, it was like they instantly all blinked out of existence (we'd scouted about 30 guys on the entire compound)

I discovered that if you just need something from a base, once you get it and if you aren't discovered, you can fast travel out of there instead of trying to sneak back out. I have quite a few assault rifles now and a light machine gun. So now we I see a unidad chopper I just open up on them like rambo and shoot them down. One almost crashed directly on top of me though.

I love shooting those large propane tanks and causing explosions on bases. I finally have the flare gun, love it.

I'm one play session away from being able to kill people with the drone. Can't wait! lol.

Flare gun at night in the rain is pretty sweet. Jus used it in a mission to extract a cartel boss.

How is the PC performance? I heard it might have been rough at launch but maybe smoothed out a bit?

There's probably a few super computers in China that are able to run this game at 60FPS on 4k. I get around 55 FPS on 1440 so Im happy with that but my PC is pretty beefy.

I'd be running an evga 1070SC at 1080p so if I could just get it running consistently I'd be happy.

I run on very high, that consumes 3gb or so of vram, my 980Ti keeps me near 60FPS the entire time at 2560x1080.

Ultra FPS is too manic for me, can't stand all the dips, benchmarks in the 40s but practical play pushes me into the 30s and lower too frequently and it starts to feel sluggish.

I'm glad 1080 Tis are rare, I'd be tempted to throw it on a CC and pay it off before the wife finds out. She'd get the 980 Ti for her WoW playing though, so depending on the spin I might be able to get away with it

Love the draw distance, almost always something going on, something to go explore and play around with.

On Ultra I can get around 52 to 55fps in 1440p. If I turn down the shadows and vegetation, I can hit mid 60s. But then again I have 6 cores. CPU usage for me is around 27%. Anyway, unlocked some more guns, killed the guy in San Mateo and in La Cruz (bonus mission according to the strategy guide).
