Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
Bought this from Game Stop last week. I played 5 hours and it did not click with me. Can't even put my finger on why. Actually, that's not entirely true. The amount of crafting it appears one must do, may be the reason. Also, I feel like I'm lost in a sea of weapon options and upgrades so early on. Seems like a lot. lol
I'm going to delete my save file and start over. I know from experience some games don't "take" until the second or third attempt. Annoying, nonetheless.
I watch a video on YouTube entitled "Things to do first in HZD". Don't like doing that type of stuff, either, but I felt I needed to in order to help the adoption process here.Last edited by bry422; 12-06-2018, 11:38 AM.Comment

Yeah I just didn't think it was very complicated compared some other in-depth games like The Witcher 3 that has a steep learning curve.Comment

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
I may just be remembering it wrong or selling the crafting system short ,but I don't remember ever really feeling strained for resources or a real big need to craft much of anything. The ability to craft on the fly in the heat of combat made things easy.
I can see how it would be a burden to someone though.Comment

I remember hunting animal skins/meat for upgrades, but that's about it. Nothing too strenuous - just a little time consuming.

But I gave it another chance a year later and ended up really enjoying it. Don’t worry so much about the weapons. You can get by with just using your bow and the tripcaster. Other weapons can be ok but not necessary. The story is good but also long. I played on Easy the second time and that also helped.Last edited by rudyjuly2; 12-06-2018, 03:35 PM.Comment

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
They're all fun and each offers something different to utilize. Experimenting with them is fun and discovering various strategies for each is what drove the gameplay and exploration for myself.

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
This is a game I can't wait to replay, one day soon. So fun, beautiful, and it had an amazing story. Still haven't touched The Frozen Wilds.#LFC

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
I played it a few times and upgraded everything. I liked pretty much everything about the game..... except the crafting upgrades that required animal skins. I really didn't like that. I felt like a serial murderer killing crazy amounts of animals and not taking anything from them. (I don't know if it's been patched, but some animal skins took forever to find)Comment

Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn
Frozen wilds is amazing may be even better than main game it is that good. I still need to do a second play threw and do side missions. I beat the story and frozen wilds but did like no side missions. I also do just like story and like no side missions on my first play threw on games and than go back and beat it again doing side missions if it is a game I like a lot and this is my favorite excusive on ps4 cant wait for a sequel and I think we will get one around launch of ps5.Comment
