My friend if you ever wanted to play one game for the love of God play Zelda Breath of The Wild. I would definitely get this game if you enjoy a full open world experience. It's not really comparable to uncharted and tomb raider for me. Which are both pretty much the same game.

I would definitely get this game if you enjoy a full open world experience. It's not really comparable to uncharted and tomb raider for me. Which are both pretty much the same game.

This is so true. HZD is more open world, RPG and stealth based. It's not a cover based shooter. It wasn't what I was expecting I guess.

Well because most of the guys in this forum play all of these games, I figured it'd be perfectly fine to ask in this thread (as opposed to starting a thread) and get an unbiased answer. It's not like asking for iOS opinions in the Android thread or anything. [emoji16]

Downloading now. Pretty much had enough of Bloodborne. Still have Nioh. Reviews of some of the other AAA titles weren't what I was expecting so Horizon it is. I wanted Wildlands but I'm afraid it'll be too much like The Division with the bullet sponges and that Drove me nuts.

Meh, finishing games is overrated. I am halfway through HZD, 1/4 way into Mass Effect, tons of hours into BoTW and I still just picked up UC4 again and Destiny for the first time lol.

I have the same problem. Every game I play is like half way done. Baseball season doesn't help the situation much.

Zelda is a great game. I'm gonna go out in a limb and say if Zelda is an option for him he's already playing it. It's the only game on switch worthy of praise. So telling him this isn't an "IT game" and using Zelda as reasoning doesn't make much sense. You don't need to compare everything to Zelda. You are the one being bias.

And I doubt you have it a fair shot. You've been down on this game ever since you found out a girl was the main character.

Horizon is a must play so is Zelda if you have a Nintendo console or the switch.

Horizon (9.5/10) is not only the best game of 2017 thus far, it's my current game of the year and no, I don't see any game surpassing it pound for pound overall and it's also my second best game this generation behind The Witcher III.

For Honor was an 8/10 for me. Played all three story campaigns and completed them in 13 hours 19 minutes. The "art of battle" combat system is excellent and requires a lot of practice if you want to perfect it without any of the button prompts helping you.

Resident Evil VII was also an 8/10. Falls off in the last third of the game and the combat during boss battles was more aggravating and frustrating than enjoyable due to the camera. The horrible puzzles didn't help. Atmosphere and immersion is excellent and for the first two thirds of the game, you really feel like you're playing the original RE but in first person.

Those are the three games that I have completed in 2017. Waiting on Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 (my expectation for it is a 7/10 but remains to be seen either way) and afterwards, Ghost Recon Wildlands (expecting an 8-8.5/10 but also remains to be seen either way).

For me personally, I don't see ANY game being released for the remainder of 2017 matching let alone surpassing Horizon. Excellent story with a great lead character. Amazing visuals and even better in 4K HDR, great music and sound effects. The main positive is the gameplay. Simply superb, responsive, requires strategy and most of all, is fun. I "cleared" every machine location at least once on the entire map and was still having a blast.

Climbing a tallneck and fighting a glinthawk on top of it was awesome. Draw distance is also excellent. Would prefer GG going straight to the sequel instead of the expansion but either way, it's a guaranteed purchase.
