The multiplayer is way better than before now that it's 60 FPS and running on dedicated servers. That alone changes the action significantly. The only negative about the multiplayer is how hard it can be to tell friends from foes since a lot of the character skins look similar at certain angles and in certain lighting. I kept getting my targets confused too often. I guess if you play ranked multiplayer, the 5 minute time limit is also a negative, since it leads to too many prolonged "hide and seek" moments when matches are down to just a few players. But I play mostly private multiplayer, so we can change the time limit to 3 minutes and it solves that problem for the most part.
I played up to the part where you meet Cole Train in the story and it's a lot slower paced than I remember it being -- and I haven't even got to the really slow missions yet. I don't think I will play through the campaign again unless there are dead times where I don't have enough friends online to form a multiplayer party.
