Re: Mafia 3
Those are pretty funny. Not as good as FIFA glitches though.
Game's still fun despite the graphical and AI issues. I can see why you'd be disappointed and return it if graphics are a be-all-end-all for you. Thankfully that's not me.Comment

Re: Mafia 3
Perfect example that happened last night.........
Had to clear out one of the boss's warehouses last night. Big warehouse, full of enforcers and sentries. I literally stood in the bathroom, whistled ONCE and 40 enemy AI kept coming to the bathroom 1 by 1. I kept stabbing them in the throat. They all kept saying, I think I'll check over there. AI basically behave like dumb lemmings. They can see bodies on the floor and they will still walk over there without a care in the world to their own death.
Bodies piled up so high in the bathroom they started to stack up all over that bathroom floor. So after 5 minutes of standing there, I cleared out all the boss's enforcers and guards by standing in the bathroom. Even the ones from the second floor walked down the stairs all the way across the warehouse, which is pretty damn big to come my bathroom in the corner.
With everybody dead but the boss. I walked up the stairs, down the very long walk way, walked behind the boss and strangled him into submission. Didn't even fire a shot at all.
Like I mentioned earlier, though, my play style is stealth, but I am constantly moving and never kill anyone from the same spot, so it masks a lot of the issues.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: Mafia 3
Just played about 2 hours and I gotta say the story up to this point is pretty darn good. Yeah I can see how some would have issues with this title but again I don't critique games as much so I'm sure this game will end up being a favorite when completed.
I wouldn't have a problem recommending this game based on what I've played so far.

Re: Mafia 3
I have not bought the game yet but I have a question for those that own it...
Do you have the ability to reduce your health meter in the options menu? Being unable to take a lot of damage along with raising the A.I. difficulty could possibly provide more of a challenge. This seems to be the main complaint..EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Re: Mafia 3
Me personally, I'm going to just hold off and wait till a few patches drop then restart from the beginning. I have the game digital anyways so I might as well leave it on my PS4.
I was honestly just think about waiting till the PS4 Pro then playing Mafia 3. I think the Pro will help with some of the issues and make the game look better. That's my plan.Comment

Re: Mafia 3
I have it on PC and I'm loving it, had a few crashes during trying to record for YouTube and using SweetFX Mods, but after removing I've had zero...
They still need to fix the blurry textures, but from a gameplay and story it's 100% excellent, been playing almost 2 to 3 hours a day! There is so much to do in this game and it's so amazing.
After about 6 hours into it, I like how the story linked itself to Mafia 1 and 2...very nice touch...so they are all tied together!Comment

Re: Mafia 3
Just experienced a wild turn of events. As they were splitting things. (Talking in code)Never saw this coming. Those who are playing this probably know what I'm talking about. My jaw just dropped. This story is killer.

Re: Mafia 3
I find it pretty odd they don't have motorcycles in this game considering the time period. A lot of guys who came back from Nam bought motorcycles. They will probably have it as DLC eventually.Comment

Re: Mafia 3
I had to go find someone who had uploaded the scene to YouTube just because I wanted to see it again, it was such a sudden and striking turn in the story. Masterfully done job by the developers there. This game may have its share of issues (most of which I either haven't seen or just haven't noticed enough to care about while playing), but the story is without a doubt 10/10 for me.
