Yes it is messed up bigtime but it's not bothering me.



Really strange game. The cutscenes, voice acting, music, and story are fantastic. Everything else ranges from unfinished to awful.



Yet somehow I can't stop playing. Strange game.

This makes me want to return it lol

I wouldn't call it awful, but parts of the game feels a little dated. Still, the many things it gets right are great.

I feel like customization is always a good thing in games. Always. But that is just me.

I briefly played the game this morning, but like just for 30 minutes, so definitely not enough to formulate any opinions yet.

I played for about an hour. I really liked everything that I saw except I cannot handle the 30fps lock and will be waiting until the patch comes out today or tomorrow to resume playing.

So I spoiled the soundtrack for myself this morning because I was trying to figure out what songs played on which station and I came to find that The Band is in this game.

The first time I heard The Weight come on the radio, I was so incredibly happy. Even though my favorite band has changed through the years, I had never heard any of them in a video game before.

I also love that the radio keeps playing in the pause menu.

The only problem I've had with the game so far, is the draw distance, but only in one instance. In the beginning portion, before Paint It Black, there was a short driving sequence during the day. There was this weird graphic glitch where it was like the game was trying to do an overcast kind of lighting, but it was terrible. One second it would be sunny, then twenty feet down the road it got really dark, then light again. During this time, the grass on the sides of the roads was popping up five feet in front of me.

But, it seems to have fixed itself. It's really confusing.

Been playing on PS4 all day with this game and I wish I would have never bought this crap. Beside the story and cutscenes the whole game feels unfinished and needs tons of polish and has bad frame rate and screen tearing. Also the gameplay and shooting mechanics are awful. No wonder 2K never sent ign a review copy. Horrible, mafia 2 was so much better and just more fun. This game is going to be cheap as hell in a few months.

I wish I could get a refund. So disappointed in this game. How can anyone think this is fun. Ughhhhhh....

This is one of those games where you see reactions ranging from "must own" to "not current gen AAA worthy."

I am hoping to dive in tonight after the UFC card finishes up. So many good games out now/coming out soon it's crazy!

I've played through about 6 hours and my sentiments are polar opposite. I've crashed once. While driving the world seems like a good PS3 title, but walking on foot and soaking in the atmosphere is completely different. The ambience is wonderful from the dogs barking across the street to the guys playing dice in the alley.

Sure there are some weird things with this game like the daylight and weather systems while driving. On foot this game plays wonderfully to me.

But the big draw will be the presentation and quality of the narrative which is top notch. If the story or characters were flat then I would be less inclined to take the time to soak in the world, but I'm loving everything despite it's flaws.

Gonna go out on a limb and guess it's a matter of opinion. I haven't seen these bugs...yet.

Gunplay I'll agree with. Wish it felt more polished. AI is more noticeable the more I play. Could be better, but doesn't ruin it for me. Someone posted a video a page or so back of strange things happening, and I have not seen that kinda stuff yet. Gameplay overall really isn't that bad...not sure why you don't like it, but I find it enjoyable and overall it's a very fun game. AAA, would buy again!

anyone who says this is a must own is lieing. This game looks outdated with horrible shooting and gameplay mechanics and not very fun. Graphics on the PS4 are not very good. The only thing decent is how the story plays out and the cutscenes but everything else is awful. This is the worst mafia game in the series hands down.

Loving the game, but good lawd, I'm going to scream if the game quits on me one more time. I've had the game cut off on me like 6 times since I've started playing.

Here's some fun questions for the people that have played a decent amount of the game.

How did yall divide up the districts amongst the underbosses? Also do you have a reason for giving an underboss a certain district? Have you had to kill off one of the underbosses? As of right now I just finished up the Southern Union missions so I've taken over a nice amount of turf.

So far I have the districts split up like this:

Cassandra has Delray Hollow, Downtown & Frisco Fields (Gave her Frisco Fields because it was owned by Southern Union aka The Klan).

Thomas has Barclay Hills & Pointe Verdun. Plan on giving him French Ward once I'm done with that area.

Vito has Tickfaw harbor & River Row. Plan on giving him Southdowns once I'm done with that area.

Trying to make sure everybody is happy. It seems like something Lincoln would do since he comes off as a loyal/fair man, plus I don't want to kill off any of them.
