Re: Biggest Game Disappointments in 2015
I never finished Arkham Origins when it originally came out. It was a good game, but not to the level of Asylum or City. But I got back into it recently on the PC and I have enjoyed it SO much more than Knight.
Never thought the addition of the Batmobile would have such an adverse effect on Arkham Knight. Story wasn't the greatest, and it definitely missed the epic boss fights from the previous entries.Comment

I think they felt like they needed to make the inclusion of the Batmobile more than just a vehicle to get from point A to point B, but that's all anybody really wanted.

It wasn't even the Batmobile that disappointed me, I kind of liked it. The biggest disappointment for it was the pointless side quests, only one was worth going through the motions (the serial killer).I never finished Arkham Origins when it originally came out. Did they really expect you to be ok with just sneaking up on Two-Face and taking him down like any of the annoymous henchmen in the game?Comment

Yeah the Two-Face integration was pretty piss-poor.Comment

Re: Biggest Game Disappointments in 2015
After further thinking my official top three (really only three, wasn't too disappointed this year)
Evolve - I could barely muster more than a few hours. Such a letdown going from the L4D games to this. My worst purchase of the year by far
The Order - I hated it. I just had zero fun during my time with this game.
Battlefront - I played about 30 hours, which I guess means I got value out of it (I got it in a buy2get1 free deal) but it's just not what I had hoped for.
Honorable mention:
Fallout 4: I still play this game from time to time but I was not blown away or really captivated at all after the first hour. It just steadily lost its luster for me. Maybe witcher 3 spoiled me"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Fallout 4 is creeping on to the list for me. After getting out of the vault, it just kind of went downhill. I am only a few hours in, so I will keep playing.Comment

The Witcher 3 - I find the combination of controls and story frustrating. I just could not get into it.
Star Wars Battlefront 3 - if this wasn't a Star Wars game it would rank as one of the most generic and boring FPS I've ever played. No strategy and no content. F2P games ship with more content then this game.Comment

Re: Biggest Game Disappointments in 2015
I have mixed feelings about AK. The game was a mix of your standard greatness you expect from the series with annoying bat mobile sequences sprinkled in throughout. Batmobile platforming was just the worst.
I didn't buy a large amount of games this year but if I had to pick a disappointment it'd NBA LIVE 16.....I know not much was expected of it and it got out to a horrible start, but It's a game I had expectations for seeing the progress they made over the past 2 years. Didn't take the leap I thought it would, even with the nice patch they put out.Comment

I'm really surprised to see so many mentions of Fallout 4. It's the first Fallout game I've ever played and I'm just in love with it. There is soooo much to do.#LFC

Re: Biggest Game Disappointments in 2015
And because it's the first Fallout you have played, you have the advantage of having a fresh experience in that universe.
I think part of the reason I was disappointed was because I kept comparing to F3, which may be a bit unfair.
Either way, I am glad you are enjoying it. It's a good game regardless, just not the game for me.Comment

Re: Biggest Game Disappointments in 2015
I can definitely see this. I love me some Fallout 4 but if I see where a lot of the elements are just carried over from 3, and how these elements could become stale to people.
The story and sheer volume of things to mess around with kept it going for me, but i can do understand how others lost interest.

Re: Biggest Game Disappointments in 2015
Man, I almost took seeing The Witcher on here personal. Probably my favorite game of all time.
Arkham Knight and Fallout 4 for me.
AK: I understand not wanting to make the game feel like the same old same old, but they went away from simplicity to tedious. Game was just a chore to play after a while which sucks because it had potential.
F4: Not a bad game, just not for me. Kind of like Tracerbullet said, as much as it was hyped, it just didn't do it for me. I remember playing Skyrim after playing F4 for a little and had no desire to go back to it.Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

Re: Biggest Game Disappointments in 2015
Haven't played Fallout 4 yet but from the majority here and other sites, it seems like if it's your first game in the franchise, you'll most likely enjoy it a lot more than those who have played Fallout 3 and New Vegas because while the game is still good, it's simply just more of the same. In other words, you know what you're getting already and there's no surprises.Comment
