Fallout4 for me. The game is extremely repetitive, nigh boring. They failed to accomplish things that were great in FO3. The graphics were subpar for the PS4 compared to other 'big environment / area' games. It wasn't everything I thought it would be, delivered no wow moments, and failed to live up to it's predecessor.

Haven't play it, and I'm sure its fun on mobile devices but man, what a disappointment that was.

That Rory golf game. I've seen shallow puddles deeper than that game.

I find it interesting that a lot of the games mentioned on this Most Disappointing list are open-world, or some variation of an open-world game.

I hope developers take note that not all games have to have the open world formula to be successful. I personally miss some of the more linear experiences.

Open world games done right can be amazing. However, some of them have a lot of filler, which results in repetition and boredom (I am lookin' at you MGS5)

NBA 2K16. If I'm being honest, I should've never bought the game. I didn't get my PS4 until New Year's 2015 and that came bundled with 2K15. I was still playing 2K15 up until release of 2K16 and while I've played 2K16 a decent amount, I wind up going back to 15 and my Hornets MyLeague file.

A legit beef I have with 2K is changing the dang control scheme almost every year. Just stop. Or at the very least, give us the option to revert back to a previous scheme we preferred.

MLB 15 The Show also makes my list. A major commentary and presentation overhaul are needed.

Batman Arkham knight...Deathstroke side mission is what made me stop playing the game. This guy can go toe to toe against bats and instead of an epic fight I end up in a tank battle and doing a Saitama on him. That's some weak ****.....

Fallout 4...I'm finding myself trudging through the game. Not even the mods I loaded are keeping me interested in the game.

I may have to put 2k16 on my list now. I played 2k for months, even bought it for X1 and PS4, but after picking up a PS3 The other day to play NCAA Football 14 I happened across a used copy of 2k and decided to give it a go. I found that there was a smoother and better flowing experience with it. No sliding, no clipping at all. Maybe not the prettiest being compared to the current gen systems, but I far less frustrated after playing all weekend. Maybe 2k17 will be better on the current gen next, but knowing I have a choice to go back old gen is refreshing.

Halo 5's campaign was a major disappointment, not being good at multiplayer led me to sell it back quick. I haven't gotten into the Witcher, but I'll give it a few chances because I never play rpg games. And battlefront too. I'm a big campaign guy and its a bummer that it's missing that element.

The CPU trying to get 100% of their points from inside the paint is forcing me to add 2K16, as well. It's just not fun and the sliders don't seem to work. I've tried to like it, but I just can't.

I'll agree with you. 2 just wore thin on me. i can't get stats where I want them and I think playing with sliders just killed me on it. I'm not a great player, but it was impossible for me not to score 110 ppg with Denver.

I bought into the MLB hype and bought it day one, but it had no flow for me. Every game seemed like 4-2 and if the cpu was going to score, it was going to score. There still isn't enough control on defense. I either would have 3 errors a game or go through 2 weeks with 0 errors. Plus, the cpu threw too many fastballs on lower levels and it bugged me.

In my games, the CPU seems to get their fair share of 3's and mid range shots..

                            Fallout 4.

I played it for I think 40 hour or less, mostly building settlements and then I just stopped. I can't get myself to start again. I can't get put my head around why I just don't care to uncover more of that world. Maybe it's because I feel like my player is powerful enough at level 30 that I really don't have a sense of progression anymore. None of the perks or weapons I find can really improve me that much.

Has to be Battlefront for me. I had somewhat low expectations to begin with, but it's almost criminal what we got, and then they want an extra $50 on top. The gameplay isn't bad, but multiplayer is unbalanced and content is shallower than a kiddie pool.

Fallout 4 gets an honorable mention. I was so hyped for this, but for some reason this game hasn't sucked me in like Fallout 3. The game feels dumbed-down in terms of character design and story-telling. It is superior in many respects at the same time, just hasn't hooked me, no real urge to play.

I'd add Batman to the list but I was waiting to purchase on PC and based on all the problems encountered, I still haven't.

                                • Batman Arkham Knight - The best playing Batman game that sadly decided to go with a more open-world checklist design. The near complete abandonment of the dungeon-like, puzzling, and exploration feeling of Asylum, and even City, for a "truer" open-world that could incorporate the Batmobile wasn't worth it.

                                • Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number - Finished the first one recently and thought it was really great, but the sequel just hasn't grabbed me. The levels aren't nearly as tight and I find it more frustrating to play.

                                • Fallout 4 - I spent damn 100 hours playing this and will play more once DLC and some game-changing mods come out. It's an enjoyable open-world shooter, but my disappointment lies with how much further Bethesda has stripped down the RPG elements. It probably doesn't help to have New Vegas fairly fresh on your mind. The amount of variety and outcomes to quests, the dialogue options and choices, character building and general ways to roleplay, massively dump on Fallout 4.
