I wish this game was 3rd person so bad. I'm tired of the same first person view. I wanna see my solider in action. I was hoping they would go the Sniper Elite route and make the game a 3rd person military shooter but i guess not.

I dont see how they ignored that.
one way to fix that would be to have at least some missions have allied troops in the area fighting so you could pick off enemies at range without it just being all about you and your lone rifle vs hundreds of germans.

It looks like they may have some distance shots in this one, which would motivate me to grab the game, but I'll need proof this time via youtube or whatever. It actually does look like a drastic improvement though, so maybe if it's a good enough game it won't matter AS much.

Rebellion just throw me a bone though and give me at least a few 500m + opportunities!

yes they do. I was honestly hoping they would do some kind of modern shooter or maybe the 80's or early 90's. I love the 3rd person gameplay but hate this WW2 theme.

I am new to this series. Wish 2 was compatible on the XBOX1. Loving 3 though I hear 2 is the best yet.

                          2 was certainly my favorite.

You don't just snipe, you can sneak around and choose to kill people up close, you can pretty much complete a mission any way you want by doing anything one could do in a Grand Theft Auto type open world game.

Sounds a lot more interesting than just sniping when you can approach missions in any manner you see fit, sniping is now just one way to approach things
