    Halo-2 won't come out for PC for awhile.


    As for you TJ, once you play Halo with 16 players (4 xboxs) hooked up, you will understand how great this game is.

    The weapon balance is great....
    The graphics are great.....
    The AI is great.....
    And Halo 2 will be better by all accounts (I've got my preorder!)

                    No it isn't...that's my only complaint about Halo. The pistol (which is gone in Halo 2 ) was WAAAAAY to unbalanced. That, and the rocket launchers took FOREVER to reach there destination.

                            I only played Halo for like an hour..I played it at friends a few times.

                            But im am excited for Halo 2 just because it seems like everyone loved Halo and I missed out.

                                    I believe that the single player campaign on the PC is identical to the Xbox version, the primary difference is in the multiplayer. There are more vehicles, maps and weapons than the Xbox version had, and best of all, you can play it online with up to 16 players. I would recommend downloading the PC demo and trying it out, the multiplayer is just as fun as the original, with the benefit of keyboard/mouse control.                                     On to the original question, what is so great about Halo? For me, aside from games like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, it seemed like the first console FPS to get nearly everything right. Meaning the controls, AI, story, weapons, vehicles, environments, sound and graphics truly come together for a wonderfully immersive game experience. I've enjoyed the single player immensely, but I've never had as much fun playing a game cooperatively than with Halo. When it first came out, I can remember playing the game for 8-12 hours straight with friends, just on the campaign alone. To top it off, the multiplayer is just as fun and addicitive, even without full online support.

                                    I've had the pleasure of playing some Halo 2 multiplayer, and for those of us that have XBL subscriptions be warned...say goodbye to your loved ones, you will playing this one for awhile
