This game is an amazing hybrid mix of Battlefield 1942, BC2 and Battlefront (Battlefront really only graphically)

The main thing that's consistent with BF is just about everyone realizes it's about playing the objective and not worrying about your KD. That's why the guys atop the scoreboard normally have negative KDs. It's honestly a breath of fresh air.

No doubt. The main reason I love BF is for the reason you just mentioned. Hopefully I can get this over the weekend.

Anyone know what the best buy preorder code they emailed did?

It just said you now own the standard edition.

But I don't, I own the deluxe. I got the 5 battlepacks with the in-game code but the Best Buy code didnt do anything.
The free item info is now gone from best buy's site

I'm happy I spent the extra 20 bucks. The environments are better than they have ever been in BF. That damn fog is amazing

My only complaints with this game are:

Locked squads - I'm constantly seeing locked squads with 1 or 2 people. That kills teamwork.

Spotting - Very spotty. I actually like that it's not so easy. My complaint is more for the randoms that refuse to do it.

Other than that I'm loving this game. The iron sights offer a nice challenge and even the playing field IMO. From a graphics standpoint this is one of the best looking games this gen.

I hope they fix the squad thing.

Apparently when you join with a friend(s) and it puts you in a squad before the game starts it automatically locks the squad. So without knowing that or looking it'll stay locked.

I really hope this continues...I'm kindly worried (PS4) with a lot of COD players likely switching over that it'll be TDM with every match.

Just got done playing it for a few hours. Am starting to get better and I went 29-11 one round and had a positive kd the entire time playing tonight. My Top class is the Support but my top weapon is the Lawrence of Arabia's SMLE. My favorite map so far as to be Amiens. Also got some pretty nice skins for a few of my guns. Does anyone know what's better when it comes to skins Legendary, Distinguished, or Special?

I was considering it, but the early reviews and game footage are changing my mind.

Good shooter notwithstanding, my schedule makes joining up with OSers challenging, and I only today found out that it has solid SP. I do enjoy capturing and defending objectives with a good team in MP though in prior BF games.

So, I'm now giving it a rethink.

Had some great sessions after getting home from work today. Got first place (twice) for the first time(s) and that felt cool. The whole squad did great each time though, definitely a team effort.

Right now I am sitting on about 1.44 K/D ratio which is lower than the 1.8 I had in Hardline, definitely trying to raise that however I have to concur that there is a connection between matches where I have great K/D but lower score, and lesser K/D but higher score. The first time I came in first I had 15/14 K/D ratio for the match, the two matches after I went 24-13 but finished outside of the top 5. Game definitely rewards you for many things and does not weigh K/D as the main factor. You could probably not a kill a single guy and still be top 5 if you cap the most points and heal/resupply often, which is great.

When I look at the scores though I still tend to feel the most respect for guys with high K/D as I just can't shake that as the gold standard for skill in shooters.

I have a couple gripes with the game. My main one is spotting, which I almost wonder is full on bugged. Sometimes it just seems to refuse to register for no apparent reason.

I do have a couple balancing gripes but they aren't huge. I am naturally opposed to camping/sniping and I hate getting killed by snipers but I understand it is a part of these games so I try not to pout and pull the "SNIPEZ R OP" card every time. Just a part of the game I have to live with.

Hoping to have my assault maxed out by tomorrow (only class I have played so far) and then work on support.

Fantastic game.

I have only played Conquest so far in retail, would like to play some TDM, operations, and rush sometime soon as well
