Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
I would venture to guess most people who are serious about the game and intend to put a lot of hours into it will at some point pay for premium/dlc.
I would still prefer free maps, but splitting the player base isn't anything I'm too concerned about if they go the Premium route again.Comment

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
If the game is realistic and you pop up and see a tank you will still have about half an hour before it reaches you.
I'm curious as to whether this game is going to be more like BF 3 or 4 with people running all over the place or if there is going to be a good amount of trench warfare, attacking and counterattacking, etc?
I obviously don't expect anything like Verdun with this game, but I'm just curious to how much the setting will change the game play we've recently gotten from the series if it changes much at all.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

On top of that, these are modern day gamers playing Battlefield. You think guys are going to contently sit in their trenches and wait for enemies to arrive or wait for a commander or squad leaders orders to jump out and go attack the enemy?
It's never going to play out like some people envision, it just isn't.
Think about some of the concrete trenches on some of the BF4 maps (I know it isn't a good or even accurate comparison but it's all I can reference). No one sits in those things waiting for enemies to arrive on the shoreline.
Actually, forget that analogy lol. I just don't think trench fighting is going to play out as we're hoping.
But I'll still hope it does, on certain maps at least.
@canes21 I know I quoted you but I'm def not asking you these things directly. These are just thinking aloud questions. Speaking in general, not meant to offend.Comment

I really don't think there is going to be a heavy focus on trench warfare at all. I bet maybe there's only one map with trenches, if that.

I think there is more people out there than you think that will enjoy sitting in the trench sniping like I will and will always have the trench club handy waiting for that one momo that is feeling frisky to jump in the same trench as I.Go Cubs Go [ W ]Comment

But you're never going to see an entire 32 man side all sit there in unison. I'm sure they'll be quite a few, just that too many guys are impatient and can't help themselves and will charge in run N gun style.Comment

No I'm well aware of how many people love to sit & snipe. I've spent my days on BF4 hunting them down and trying to take their tags.

I'll use this game as the one I want to play when I want to be in a cinematic WWI movie. I'll use Verdun as the game I play when I'm looking for a more authentic experience.Last edited by canes21; 05-12-2016, 11:48 AM.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
