Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
Here we are trying to read up on history books to determine the historical accuracy of the Battlefield 1 trailer when we could have just asked Joe all along since he was there [emoji14]
I kid, Joe. I kid. I'm always looking for people to play with, I'll add you this weekend and hopefully we can play some soon. I used to be pretty decent at the game, winning quite a few MVP ribbons but I'm far from Battlefield game shape these days.

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
Been out of the console game and more specifically the Battlefield for a while. Used to play with a bunch of OG OSers, JNes, Authentic etc.
Excited to get back in the game now. Just preordered this the other day. Add me on PSN 'spookyblaylock'
How many people still play Battlefield 4? Made the mistake of picking up Hardline thinking online would be active but the servers are dead.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
Gun play is spot on and it's very fun. Me and two other guys still play it to mix it up from BF4 from time to time.
Servers are def much more empty than BF4 but it isn't like they're completely barren.
But BF4 is the best next gen console pure shooter out there. I still have and play both.Comment

Not big, unless you are a complete noob. But once you try BF, you will not go back to that crap known as COD. I used to be strictly cod player but once they started pumping out garbage I switched to BF4 and never looked back. This game takes more skill to play but it is much more rewarding and realistic shooter.Comment

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
Where any learning curve exists is more mindset than anything else. If you're playing Conquest or Rush it's easy to get in a "kill everything that moves" mentality. The game ends and you realize you finished somewhere in the middle of the pack. You need to focus more on the objective than kills.
Being good at gunplay AND playing the objective? A squad of 4 or 5 of guys like that can totally control a 64 player match. I've been in squads like that and also gone against squads like that. Squad team play is crucial.

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
Learning curve wouldn't be a big deal. Most BF players don't want to admit this but the actual gunplay between the two games is similar. Slightly more recoil in BF but it takes no time at all to adjust to it.

I'll gladly admit that the pacing of BF isn't as slow as some make it out to be. It can be chaotic and fast paced at times, but I can pick up a COD game and gun mechanics are nothing like a modern Battlefield game.
If the gunplay in the two was similar I wouldn't have had to blacklist COD games several years ago.
As for the question... I doubt you'll have much of a transition period. It won't be much different than anyone who primarily played BF4 getting used to it. Objective play should be nothing new to anyone who plays COD. Adjusting to the little things like movement, environment, vehicles, and class based gameplay.. the usual with most new shooters. I don't see it being a problem.Last edited by AUChase; 06-02-2016, 08:21 AM.Comment

I don't even really have to aim or worry about recoil at all in COD.#1 Laker fan
