I realized why my game was around dipping from 60 to around 50 at times. I had my scaling at 100% and didn't realize it. At 75% and Ultra the game is as smooth as butter. I could probably go higher with the scaling, but it looks so good right now that I don't feel like it.

Now the Beta just needs a hardcore mode.

It can feel like Battlefront all it wants as long it has a longer lifespan, active community wise, than Battlefront did. That is my main concern. There are things about BF games that make people play them for years and years. Fresh is good, but you can't ignore the multiple successes of the past IMO.

        We'll see what happens.

Played a handful of games. I like it a lot. I think the hit detection could be better and there's definitely a ton of environmental glitches (not being able to vault properly over things, getting caught on rocks while running, etc).

But I enjoyed it. It's gonna take some time to get used to some of the new features tho. Although I did accidentally run someone over on a horse.

Yeah, I get that. I loved that game too. Its also been how long since that game came out? While its still BF, things have inevitability changed. Lets all be happy it hasnt gone to crap yet like cod has.

Played a few matches of Rush and the fact that it is 12 v 12 has pretty much killed the mode for me. I will hold out hope that maybe this map just is not good. Rush use to always feel pretty intense but the lack of players really hurts the mode. Also there are way too many tanks. There should not be so many tanks when it is only 12 v 12. I hope the new operations mode is good, if not I will probably just spend most of my time in conquest. Overall I do like the game. I was worried based on some of the impressions but I will definitely still be picking this up day 1.

Yeah, 12v12 in Rush is horrible.

Make it either 32 or 48 and don't allow the defenders a tank on the opening sequence...I don't mind as much having a timer versus tickets but this mode needs to some love.

Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)

I played for a couple of hours tonight and had a blast. Advanced up to level 18, which for me is really good.

I like all of the different troop options. Had fun as a sniper for a while then went full out assault. I was able to really do well in the tank, especially when I switched it to heavy tank. I shot 4 planes out of the sky with the tank, including a fighter.

The control of the planes is the most disappointing thing to me and by that I mean they need to add a control scheme like most basic console flight sims utilize. If they do that, I am golden.

I hope they keep the pace the way it is and don't speed up the vehicles to appeal to a wider audience. They are already a bit too fast but just fine for a fun experience. I pre-ordered the early enlister's edition a while back and am really glad I did. I am loving it. This is my first BF game and I don'f care for modern or futuristic shooters so this game is right up my alley.

Bonus is that I finally realized how to spend war bonds and get new equipment.

Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)

Played a bit more today and it's starting to grow on me. I came in expecting the changes they made recently to battlefield 4 in the last couple updates and just building upon that. I'm still not a fan of the changes to conquest, repairing inside vehicles, but there's still some fun to be had. My friends and I had a cavalry run where we all used horses and were just circling lone dudes trying to run from point to point out in the open desert. It was pretty fun seeing 4 horses running around being a nuisance.

Also, there's a bug with the weapon pickups. If you and a friend pick them up at the same time you can both get one. I have done it twice with the flamethrower and that was awesome seeing flames everywhere

Enjoying the beta. I wish Dice didn't model almost all the weapons on experimental automatic varieties that barely saw much if any action during WW1. It's really a WW2 game with a WW1 skin. Don't get me wrong literally anything is better than the rehash of modern war shooters, but still the weaponry misses the mark for the time period.
