Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
Definitely enjoying this game the more and more I play it. Finally got a chance to play with some fellow OSers over the weekend and had a blast. I do have some gripes but hopefully those things will be tweaked in the retail version of the game. I know I will be putting a lot of hours into this game when it releases.Comment

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
I think it can be 'safe' at the beginning of matches or if you can get to a spot where you minimize flanks - but you will die a ton just getting there because at closer range you need to use the pistol and if you encounter more than one guy, you're going to die.
As a majority of the time sniper in any game that has it, I'm sniping less in this game (still 60% of the time) because I'm finding it fun moving from building to building shooting people in the streets and alley's around C objective. BF4 for example I would snipe probably 80% of the time and yes there were buildings, but not so much a one crop of structures that you could move to in close proximity. I think that alone promotes movement and gives you the feeling that you're not open 360 degrees around you all the time when not in a building. But in terms of sniping in general, yes it's what I like to do - I think people just get so ticked off when dying from one that they over exaggerate it to the point where they want to tell the devs it's a 'problem with the game'. ON the flip side, sniping isn't easy either so I've found that 90% of MY deaths AT LEAST are from non-snipers. The last match I played was the only one in this game where I died 5 times to snipers and all 5 were the same guy, which was super annoying.
And I guess that's my point, is that when you're out of range and getting dropped it's annoying, more so then when you can see your foe, which I think leads to complaints. It's not as if when you snipe you'll go 20-0, that's BS. I actually like the changes to bullet drop and what seems like bullet velocity (Faster) because it seems more realistic. In BF4, you'd feel like rainbow bullets sometimes and it was so slow that someone could move out of sights, back in, and back out again before the bullet finally got there. Now I feel like I can lead someone realitically (on a horse for example) and line up a realistic shot and feel rewarded. I don't think there is a need to 'nerf' snipers - some people make it seem like they just drop every 10 seconds from a sniper - but I highly doubt anyone here dies more than 10% of the time from snipers, especially if you're not sniping, because a moving target at distance is tough to hit.
Anyway, I've said my piece and now I'm going to go shoot people in the face (hopefully) with the scout and medic class. I wish we had access to battlelog stats for the beta.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Doesn't change a thing if your side isn't capping & keeping caps. In a few games the 5 man squad I was in all hit 25+ kills and we still lost.Comment

Re: Battlefield 1 (PC, PS4, XBOX One)
That patch made a huge difference. Now that the matches are longer I was consistently hitting the 30 kills mark every game last night. At the very least I'd hit the upper 20s.

It would be nice to see another map in action. The one they showed at E3 looked fun"Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."
