I've done both endings I can get in this. I want to know more how the final game is, but if it keeps like this it's a day 1 buy. I LOVED Layers of Fear and this one invokes so many of the same feelings.

The trailer reminds me of Outlast, which I couldn't make it through more than 30 minutes of, lol. On one hand, it does indeed look pretty damn cool, and it's nice to see them return to more of a horror feel. On the other hand I'm disappointed if it indeed doesn't end up third person/RE4-like because I'll miss an RE game for the first time in a long time. This concept is just too damn scary for me

Maybe I'm crazy. I couldn't play Outlast and I couldn't play P.T., and really for the most part I'm weak when it comes to scares but I was only truly scared a couple times in the demo. I really enjoyed the creepiness and atmosphere. I saw an article last night, will try to find a link, saying how the teaser is different from the retail game. In the E3 presentation I could have sworn it showed clips of third person gameplay

I posted an article above saying the part of this demo, and character won't be in the game, but I can't find anything on it being 3rd person. Only them mentioning first person and the option for VR mode for the entirity of the game.

Has anyone bought any of the 'remasters' of 4, 5 & 6? I was going to wait until all three were out to see if Capcom was going to release a bundle but apparently not. I'm more than a little disappointed that 4, especially, appears to be a quick cash-in port of the PS3/360 versions. They didn't even add new trophies! While RE5 and RE6 have full trophy lists on PS4, the PS4 version of RE4 has the exact same 12 trophies it had on PS3. Weak!

6 caught a TON of flak for being so action oriented and not 'survival horror', but I really liked it. Playing online co-op on PS3 with a buddy of mine was a blast.

Sadly, RE 4 isn't as good as a port as it should be. The RE 4 PC Texture Mod will be far better if you play on PC. If not, both PS4 and Xbox One run the entire game at 1080P/60FPS but for some odd reason, the re-loading animation is 30FPS. LOL.

As for the last three games in the main series, RE 4 is a classic. Over a decade later, it still holds up and at the very least, is easily a 9/10. RE 5 was meh and RE 6 sucked in my opinion. The best survival horror game since RE 4 is by far The Evil Within in my opinion.

I bought RE4/PS4 last night, it's awesome. I already own the PS2, Gamecube, Xbox 360 and iPad versions, but being able to replay this classic game at 1080/60fps makes it worth it for me. I didn't know about the reloading animation but it doesn't detract from my experience. Then again I don't have a gaming PC so I have nothing to compare to.

One thing I noticed is that the increased visual clarity makes it dead easy to spot hidden/obscured items (the blue medallions for example). The controls do take some getting used to, but once you do it's all good. FWIW, I can't see myself buying RE5 or 6, sale or not.

Cool trailer but sadly this still just isn't doing it for me. The game is looking much more Outlast and much less RE4, which personally is a disappointing change in direction. I think they could have gone back to their more horror roots without completely changing what the series is.

Capcom is also adding more gameplay and areas to the demo. It will be opened up to every now as well.

This game has me intrigued.

I hope the new take on the series won't turn off long time RE fans. I guess all that matters is if the game is good or not.
