      Re: Resident Evil 7

I never did post a final thought after I beat this game, so I figured I'd throw in my two cents now.

I think the house setting in the first part of game is one of the best locations in a game ever. The atmosphere is just perfect, and it really provides a nice backdrop to begin your journey. The first 2/3 of the game as a whole is very good stuff, but things go downhill fast once you leave that general area. I'm not going to get into where the story goes, but it takes an awful turn which really hurt the game a lot. Getting through that final 3rd of the game was a chore instead of the great experience that lead up to it.

That being said, this game is definitely worth playing through. I enjoyed it for the most part. I'm not really a big horror guy, but this had a lot of good things going for it.

Just grabbed this for 15$ on sale in the PS store. Looking forward to knocking it out before the RE2 release.

I was pretty much the same. once you get to where you have to make "the choice", game went downhill for me. TEW 1 and 2 were better games in my opinion. With that said, im all in for REmake2 in three weeks.

you're in a good club. I'll tell you, I Do know of something to alleviate it. Drink a ton of water before playing. It keeps it at bay for awhile.

How do you manage your inventory in this game? Are the item boxes the only time you can drop/add things? I'm on PS4.

Edit: Nevermind, I found it. Its triangle.

After beating the game, I'd give it a 7.5. It was good. It was more creepy than scary, but it was still survival horror. That's what I wanted. The enemies not being fast and the close quarters really create tension. And the game looks great. Glad to have this one checked off. Now I'm ready to revisit the original survival horror with zombies in the RE2 remake.
