This game is like GTA. It is entirely free-roam and you can pick and choose which missions and such you want to do by swinging to the location. Here and there you'll run across side quests where you take on baddies at some intersection, and it's too bad that once you accomplish them all they don't show up anymore.

The only thing this game does not have is a progressive time of day lapse. It maintains whatever time of day the previous mission dictated for you. If your mission was at nighttime, the free roam stays in nighttime forever until you play a mission that is at a different time of day. There may be a cheat code to change this, but I'm not sure.

In the original game, you can change the time at research stations.

In Miles Morales, I believe you just change it in the settings.

Oh right, research stations also do their thing.

I guess part of my point was it's not progressive, and instead is static until something intervenes it.

Truly my favorite game.

It really is such a great game. I have gotten into a nice groove of tackling everything the game has to offer.

The combat is very similar to the great Arkham Games. Very easy to pick up and loads of ways to attack bases and baddies.

Great stuff with the suit upgrades and mods.....having a great time using different mods for different situations.

And then the story arc......outstanding so far.

Question about Spider-Man Remastered for PS5…

Does Sony only offer Spider-Man(PS4) and Miles Morales(PS4/PS5) on PS Plus Extra?

I was wanting to check out Miles Morales, but I never finished Spider-Man on PS4, so I was also wanting to give the first game another shot before I moved on to Miles.

As far as I can tell, you either have to buy a physical copy of Miles Morales Ultimate Edition, or pay 20 bucks for a graphics/performance upgrade??

Kind of lame to offer the full slate of Spider-Man on your shiny new subscription service, but you’re going to leave out the better version?

Am I missing something here?

Yea that's my understanding to play the spiderman remastered on ps5 you have to buy it. If you wanted to save the $ you could always just play the ps4 version.

I don't think replaying it on ps5 is a must as the miles story is pretty separate from what I remember. Since Miles is such a short game you can easily replay it a 2nd time once the original becomes available for free. If your going to get the platinum for Miles (which is easy) your going to have to play it twice anyway.

Eh, oh well. I already had it on PS4 anyways, so I’ll just jump to Miles.

I know this isn’t a MM thread but I’m jealous that you’re playing it just now and fresh. I wish I could wipe my memory of MM and play through it again. Such an amazing game, and the soundtrack is soooooo good. Enjoy

Man, no kidding about the soundtrack. The game as a whole has a slicker more movie like production compared to the first I think.

Really enjoying it so far.

Just got a PS5 and downloaded the MM edition and WOW, not even a spider man fan and the game is incredible. Beat the game in 2 days and couldn’t put it down. Great cut scenes, awesome gameplay and looks awesome graphically. If you have PS plus premium download it asap

I wasn't a spiderman fan either until i played the games and now I consider myself one. The game is great for appealing to the casual type crowds like that. The shorter game length I think plays a big role in that.
