The answer is yes with the PS4. I'm confident the XB1 will be the same.

In an interview regarding the PS4 demo at PAX East they confirm that v2.3 will be in. You can hear/see it at around the 30:00 mark.

They said Q2 so I say by June. Probably get the date by E3.

On the "official forum" if there is such a thing someone said the company's fiscal year ends on May 31 and speculated the game will be out by then. With HOTAS support for the ps4 this game will be fantastic.

Confirmed in Newsletter Friday that Horizons 2.3 patch that's in beta now will go live the week of April 16th for PC.

Maybe that will draw me back into this game again. Aww who am I kidding I'm sure it will get get me back.

I haven't played the game since the 1980's but since I'm too cheap to buy a bigger cpu just for the game I'm waiting not-so-patiently for the ps4 version.

I've sank more hours than any other game on steam into both the base game and the Horizons Expansion before they combined the playtime I'd probably be at 400hrs. If the PS4 version is close to Horizons is now on PC I'm sure you'll have a wonderful trip down memory lane.

I've watched several videos and live streams. The game is far deeper than the original but interestingly the combat flight controls look nearly identical. The non-linear, open world aspect is exactly what I like. The good news is in the 1980's I had a job and now I'm retired with plenty of time.

2.3 Patch Codenamed The Commanders dropped a little earlier than the 16th. I won't list the entire patch notes here, but rather link the official forum post that list all the changes:

The Patch itself when downloading tonight in my steam was 10.5GB. Looks like a doozy.

Yeah I sub to his YouTube channel just for his elite Videos. I don't get to play elite as much as I'd like but his smooth videos keep me in the loop. He's definitely got a soothing voice that works well with the darkness of space.
